  • i tried this & i don't know what went wrong, but i kept the cupcakes in the oven for alot of time & they just couldn't harden ! they stayed liquid-ish. can you please help me with that ?:)

    & the chocolate chips also sink to the bottom always ! HELP :)

  • @Yazziliciousx I just made these last night--they came out beautifully. Just make sure your oven is at 350 degrees, but everyone's oven is different. They should be baking on the center rack and maybe you might have to turn them halfway through baking so they all bake evenly. And to prevent the chocolate chips from sinking to the bottom of the batter, coat them with a tablespoon or so of flour before folding them into the batter.

  • I made these and they are absolutely delicious! This recipe makes a lot of cupcakes. It took a week for 7 people to eat plus I gave some away.

  • @anika778 They said the frosting was egg-less because the frosting doesn't get cooked. If the frosting had eggs people might easily get sick from eating raw eggs. However, there is egg in the cup cake batter and that is OK because it does get cooked.

  • I've made these before! They are really good, but when I made them I used apple sauce as the raw egg substitute instead of sweetened condensed milk. It's texture is very similar to that of eggs and you can't taste the apple at all once it's all mixed in, it tastes exactly like real cookie dough!

  • Folding actually means to literally fold the batter over itself, it's so that you don't beat air out of the mixture. Doesn't matter so much with cupcakes, but with other things it can mean they go flat if you don't fold it. :D

  • I has a question!! So usually when I make cupcakes, I NEVER eat all of them, so I take them to school (Yes, I'm a sophmore haha). And for the cookie dough. Do these cupcakes have to be refridgerated because of the cookie dough, or could I keep them out for a whole school day, because this sounds so delicious!! I'm gone from 6:40 to 3:30. Would they last? :o

  • @akashanabanana If you made them the night before, I think they'd be fine. You would only need to worry about refrigerating them if they actually had raw eggs in there, which they don't, so yeah.

  • Many thanks for letting me know about this AMAZING recipe - I couldn't fault it at all...whilst it is a very time-consuming recipe, the result is absolutely delicious. Next time I am going to have to double the mixture because we had gobbled them all up in only 2 days! And actually I didn't find them filling at all - people were saying they couldn't even finish one?...I'm sooo tiny & I was eating at least 3 at a time each time I went to the container! XD Maybe I'm just a pig...but oh well.
