  • at 9:16 you had a mate in 2 with Nd2+ Ka1 Rxc1#, time pressure sucks doesnt it

  • I hate non-movers!

  • ROTFLMAO... The Force is strong with this one.

  • ROTFL... The dreaded A2-H2 attack!

  • I always have fun watching these games :) Obviously, you can't expect them to be everything that a longer game or a post-analysis is, but you have to enjoy them for their own reasons.

  • fun as always, how did you know resigning would only cost you 1 point?

  • @numbcore I noted it from another tournament when you resign without doubling the cube - you just lose one point

  • I like the chess and CC can be fun - but the lag is not the end-user's problem [Hardware or location]

    Chesscube need to upgrade.

Their contact is St. Africa, Final dns hop is G.B. [U.K.]

  • Oh man, I wish I could play against you. I play a lot of this 2 minute tournaments. I don't think I could beat you though...

  • The old A2 and H2 knight attack

  • i'd like to think you took my diet coke/sweet drinks post seriously :). h2o, the way to go.

  • The force is strong with this one LOL.Drink coffee if you need caffeine it has antioxidants.

  • they do have a point.. diet coke= caffeine and taste desensitization.

  • I like 1 minute when it's responsive, otherwise 3 minute and occasionally 15 min.

I enjoy watching these - you're quite talented.

  • Hey KC, At 27:27, why didn't you take his knight at f6 with your knight at e4? It appears to me that you would have been forking his king and queen. You would have destroyed him from then on. Maybe I'm missing something, would something bad have happened if you took the knight?

  • @LibertyResolute No, he just missed that and he said it just a move after :)

  • I love this chess for observing. People complaining just wait for a longer time control. Sheesh.

  • kc sounds drunk here

  • 9:14

move 32, would have been nice to see Nd2+

I guess that's time pressure for you.

  • 720p sends endorphins in to my bloodstream

  • hey kingscrusher, what happened to your playlist? yesterday you were over 3000 items, now you're down to 2992...

I also like 5min videos best (and your "instructive game" videos of course), and would be interested in some slower games. Maybe too slow might have the tendency to become boring when the opponent takes a long time to move. On the other hand, deeper strategical analysis could give us viewers even more insight in your understanding of chess!

  • If Chesscube wasn't so pathetically slow - it might be fun.

    Ping to ICC 40ms

    Ping to Chesscube 280ms

Chesscube is amusing - but ICC [and others] are vastly superior.

  • @ll1lI its probably in a different country mate. 280 is about right to different continents.

  • 5 minutes! plz. hehe, either way thatnks for the uploads, I know you enjoy these Warzones. So have at it. GL.

  • I'd like to see longer games with live commentary

  • It would be nice to see a hand between you and Chessnetwork!

  • I don't think you lost a single match in that tournament.

  • thank god bullet is back!

  • So many funny stuff like that guy stalemating himselrwith 2 queens.

The audio got a bit outsyncro in the late minutes.

  • I love the HD in these vidoes!!! Definitely continue recording in HD :D

  • I strongly disagree with the negative comments above. 1 or 2 min chess is interesting. It emphasizes the skills of players to understand chess tactics and strategy intuitively. Those videos show an amazing ability to think about combinations under stringent time pressure, and this largely compensates for the blunders and the unsoundness of some games. Your videos have helped me a lot to improve my own blitz/bullet games.

  • @TheEipiplusone Yes it seems David Bronstein was a fan of "Active chess" and even played Bullet chess. One game against Spassky was even shown by Spassky to his friends a bit after :

Bronstein vs Spassky Bullet Game, Moscow 1961

    1. d4 f5 2. e4 fxe4 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. f3 exf3 5. Nxf3 d6 6. Bf4 Bg4 7. Bc4 e6 8.

    O-O Nc6 9. h3 Bxf3 10. Qxf3 d5 11. Bb5 Bd6 12. Rae1 Kd7 13. Bxd6 cxd6 14.

    Rxe6 Kxe6 15. Nxd5 Nxd4 16. Qe3+ Kxd5 17. Rf5+ 1-0

  • this guys a goodlad

  • all i want for christmas is more KC tournaments

  • These are fun to watch but i love the 5 minute ICC cuz its long enough and against good opposition (as long as u dont get engines :p)

  • at 16:50 -ish, funny how you saw Ng8 then, but missed it later. (or was it the curse of pre-move?)

Shame they can't do anything about non-movers, it seems like it's a better strategy than actually playing.

  • i think these are fun and good to watch. Thanks KC

  • @Mirrodin82 I know I know - it's a terrible addiction

  • @Mirrodin82 Don't watch them, let alone comment on them then.

  • @Mirrodin82 BTW even a near World champion Bronstein was very fond of "Active chess" - even bullet chess.

  • please do longer chess games, thanks

  • @concept015 I know it's junky chess - I was hoping there would be a 3 minute warzone but couldn't see one available. I enjoy playing in them sometimes.

  • oooh i was waiting for this tournaments. Here we go!.

  • The old h4-a4 attack, I believe Morphy developed that system that influences even the top level players these days quite a bit.

  • looks like that first pawn gambit paid off lol?

  • I love KC and his tactics :)
