Well, in a world where taking a single step outside of your town could potentially lead to a fight to the death with dangerous monsters, I'd assume orphans are a somewhat common occurrence.

That might also explain why so many of these RPG characters have only one parent.

One of the few things I remember from my playthrough 10 years ago was that I never found Flushex until the end of the game. What that meant was that I was basically forced to just continually turn into different monsters throughout the game, and was never able to use humans or mutants.

For that reason, it would have been nice if they had just given you the Flushex item rather than making you go find it.

I dont think a full indepth tutorial episode is necessary. The guide on gamefaqs covers everything and it's really not complicated enough to warrant a full 10 minute episode for this.

I would prefer personally if you just explained it as it came along.
