The Lovely Bones was an amazing book. Everyone has suffered some kind of tragedy or loss in their lives (if they have not - then they are fortunate).

At times I had tears running down my face. When Susie says that Holiday was so happy to see her he almost knocked her down...I thought of my beloved JRT Cooper.

As I held onto him while they injected the anesthesia I was telling him how much I loved him. Thanking him for the time he gave me...and telling him I would see him again someday.

Alice is such a huge inspiration to me.

Her books have eased so much pain in my life,

From both Lucky and The Lovely Bones I take away a bit more... peace, with the things that happened to me and to those I love that are gone because a lot of those topics I've endured she covered and provided insight into.

And she is a brilliant writer.

I have an endless amount of respect for her as a writer and as a person.
