yeh so the stories ive heard go is that in the late 19th century al manner of animals were brought from aroudn the empire into britain for zoo's and what not and that a few panthers/puma's/any other type of cat escaped into the wild....and you can only assume that britain not really having any large natural predators...except the scots...they would thrive
its no myth i ve seen it and further down in cornwall . i think enough of them must of been set free in the 70s to support a breeding population . its not like nessey or bigfoot etc this has a natural explanation .
