  • i love this song and i woul love to wake up every monady morning to this as it is such a good choone :L monkees <3

  • Nobody can't serpentine like Davy Jones,

    although axel rose tried!!

  • Davy looks like a young Tom Cruise

  • A time when we still had a little bit of innocence left. The music industry and Hollywood have destoyed entertainment. They feed us a steady diet of trash. Can they sell anything without sex? Is their answer to everything violence, vampires, werewolves, and gore? Please take me back to that time.

  • @KingprestorJohn They wouldn't sell it if it didn't sell...PEACE.

  • @BigBlackRod I guess it's deffinatley a different generation. I wouldn't buy any of the modern stuff. I go to the movies now maybe once a year--not because I don't want too, but there's just nothing worth seeing too me.

  • thumbs up if The Awakening brought u here. greets from Poland!

  • cheer up stevie bruce, oh what can it be to a sad mackem bastard and a shit football team.

  • American Beatles!!!!

  • @oscarapril1980 Afraid not in any way.. No one will or has matched the Beatles, their like will never occur again. Thank God I was there. The Monkees were manufactured and do you remember the T.V show? Iritating, however to be fair apart from the brilliant songs the Beatles films did not have the greatest story lines!!

  • I love this song. This is the reason I hate this modern shit. and I'm 17 :L

  • The songs the time of this song are so much better than all the modern trash!

  • geeze I love this song!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song makes me so happy!

  • I think this was one of the Monkees first songs that was a major hit in the mid-60s in England and everytime I hear this, I am transported back to those happy times. Thanks

  • love this song so light , happy and an overall feel good song

  • You wouldnt be where you are today if they had not started where they were. Did you look which year they were performing?

  • Class and happy memories

  • Great song from my youth which remains indelibly etched in my memory. Thanks for the post

  • @yuuhukka2 heeeeello google translate...

  • wow, brings back a ton of memories. I still love the Monkees!

  • theres better quality, why the hell people watch this?

  • @love1another1evol Thank you. The quality SUX !!

  • Just asked she was sleepy, he use to tell her to wake up all the time in class

  • I am nit very sure, she seems happy to me, but she can be tired, I will have to ask her

  • Davy Jones sat next to my nanna in school, the funny thing is she's called Jean

  • @missxsophiex09 Was she sleepy or sad? "Cheer up Sleepy Jean."

  • god I miss the 70s

  • Wonderful!!!!!

  • I'm still loving the Monkees .. ..

  • Davy Jones - one of the few Brits to keep his accent whilst singing.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Justin Bieber u also left out The Jocksniff brothers n Big time flush (rush n jonas brothers) they fake to just a disney ripoffs as was Hanna Montana...and if these clods do these classics well no gold for them and I from Canada will again not win a oscar are any best singer awards....sorry all u Justin bieber fans he likes to wear women's undies too

  • Nice sound quality you've got there.

  • what the fok did make this copy off and or off ?? it sounds Like sh-it so why post ?

  • Ah, the 60s, back when Pop songs were good, none of this Justin Bieber/Disney Channel shite.

  • Hey Youtubers and Monkee fans! As you can see there aren't any or not that I know of... drum covers of this song on YouTube. But there is now! Visit my channel or search my user name or The monkees Daydream Believer drum cover. I would appreciate it! Thank you!

  • It's funny that for how lovey-dovey Peter Tork and Davy Jones are, to think that Davy once headbutted him in the face!

  • I Love this song makes me smile every time I hear it :)

  • @Tori661000 Ya Davy was so dreamy back then. He's still pretty handsome as an older guy.

  • @kimberlykline31 Love the way he (Davy) puts it. He was a Heart throb, now he's a cardiac...

  • @wildcatter63 Ya. He's pretty special.

  • They are all so adorable!

  • @PsychoMike2011 Axl copied his moves from watching Ringo in A Hard Day's NIght, and Davy in Daydream Believer...he's no doubt a secret Monkees fan, just as Led Zeppelin are Abba fans (they went to at least one Abba concert) MONKEES in the ROCK HALL !!!

  • @ITILII Why not? Beatles and REM were/are Monkees fans. George Harrison even had Peter Tork play on some stuff with him...

  • fecin ace xx

  • Davy once said, "Justin Beiber stole my haircut, and Axl Rose stole my dance moves, I guess that just leaves me the music." =)

  • They were such a huge part of my preteen years. I once had 282 pictures of them taped to the walls of my room. Saw them once on a reunion tour in the later 1970's in San Luis Obispo during my college years. Sorry to hear their recent reunion ended so abruptly. Great memories!!

  • He was the Justin Bieber of the late 60s and 70s.

  • @HairH2O much better than that!!!!!:)

  • were they high :)

  • i thought the beatles sung this heheh

  • too funny, axl does dance like that...he's a closet Monkee lover!!

  • So THATS where axl rose got his moves from!

  • Hey like Them Monkees? Of course you do so visit

    beatlesmonkees.forumotion. com

    and sign up

  • Fun fluff!

  • Newsflash, Aug.8, 2011:

Remaining dates for 45th Anniv. tour cancelled.

Issued statement reads due to "..irreconciliable differences...We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of The Monkees."

  • Davey Jones "You Rock"! .....You too Mickey!

  • one of my fav songs from them

  • I'm a Canadian Catholic priest, and have just rediscovered the Monkees! Music of the '60's. I was ordained in '65. Love is great gift from on high...and we "carry this treasure in earthen vessels". As Dan Hill wrote in one of his songs: "Don't let our love fade away." Thanks! "Everybody loves a lover!" Paradoxically one of a priest's greatest thrills is to see two people in love. Both Marriage and Celibacy should lead to love of everyone you see or meet each day. Again Thanks!

  • Marsha!

  • They were on The View the other day, minus Mike, Davy jokingly said Justin stole his hairdo and Axl Rose stole his dance. Davy still looks so hot.

  • Simple, happy times, huh? Did you know that none of them except for Mickey could play an instrument when they started? I guess they learned. Loved them.

  • How good are they ,they out sold the Beatels and the stones with that song.

  • Great times.Brougfht a lot of enjoyment to us.And still just as good today.

  • I`m japanese!

    I like this song!

    I LOVE USA!

  • @yuuhukka2 were you in Police Academy 2?

  • @yuuhukka2 They are SCOUSERS...

  • @xxxsmegheadxxx no scousers are scumbags MANCHESTER RULES.

  • @yuuhukka2 you should... we wrote your constitution and ARE your army. The end of Japanese imperialism and its rise to an economic and technological world power is owed to us...

But we're BFFs and you guys are awesome now.

  • @yuuhukka2 How can a sneaky chink understand this??

  • @yuuhukka2 The Monkees were English :) jus' sayin :D

  • @ThinkBiker Hi:) - only the little one, Davy Jones, is from the UK. He has now lived in the States for many years. The other three are American born and raised I think- If they began to sing with accents it was probably asked for by management and for effect. I have been looking at videos of them and looking at wikipedia articles on them out of nostalgia lately! I was a kid when their show was on.(just google em!) Merry Christmas!

  • @bsl103158 ahh ok when i googled it before wikipedia said they were from england, but i just googled them once more and saw it sayed the american pop rock group, apologies, thanks merry christmas to you too :)

  • @ThinkBiker The Monkees were half American and half English.

  • This was also a good version of the song as I grew up in England in the '60s. The Hollies, Herman & his Hermits, the Seekers, all came out with their rendition. It was a great, happy and carefree time in our lives. Now looking back through the long dark tunnel of our lives. Nostalgia!

  • Mike had his tie on the strings. Not working.

  • I grab...both my man-boobs and I...offer them to you...:)

  • Never was a big Monkees fan, but there's something magical about this song that just brings a smile to your face.

  • This was the golden age of bubblegum music. Herman, Lovin, etc. It all seemed to have its purpose at the time. The age called for just liking everything and everybody. Damn us. Wish I was back there again. BTW, the Beatles had at least 10 styles, from bubbly heart-throb to heavy acid-rock. - so a bit previous writer - try to open your mind a bit and grow.

  • I don't know if you can see but Peter has a black eye. During a concert somebody threw a can of Aqua Net hair spray towards the stage and hit him. Check out the video of Pleasant Valley Sunday and you can see it better.

  • Yeah, Good times!

  • i like the version on the brady bunch movie better

  • I'm sure it paid John Stewart's mortgage for quite some time.

  • Huh - never noticed that there are no drums played on this song - still has a good, defined beat. Good lyrics and nice arrangement. Sounds better now than when I first heard it back in the day.

  • Next to "I'm a Believer", I have to say, this song just hits a strong chord with me and will always be what comes to mind when I think of the Monkees.

  • best song EVER!!!

  • @thachronic1 really? EVER?

  • To my cousin Josephine, REMEMBER! there going on Tour starts 12th March, Liverpool.

  • I was at this bar in Lincoln Nebraska one night and this song came on the juke box and by the end of it the whole bar was singing. It was frigging classic, a bunch of drunks singing the Monkees.

  • @rjplamf61 Move to another bar! No just an Irish joke. Was there first time around back in 66 as a young feckless child and still sing this. Perhaps mental disturbance?

  • @rjplamf61 LOL! They always sound good regardles of what frame of mind you're in...!!!

  • @rjplamf61 Did you vomit ,or go to your vehicle and grab your weapon of choice and go postal? i would have done the latter - open glove box, insert 15 round clip into my Kimber .40,re-enter bar, proceed to feed said jukebox with lead and exit the establishment with many persons with cordite air and ringing ears, and everybody is unharmed and becomes sober ,to realise that they were bein looney!

  • @rjplamf61 Life is a chance. Being in the right place at the right time. So lucky your encounter. Most of the drunks I know are shite at singing.

  • I love his cool dancing!

  • adooooooooooooooooooooooro, que saudadess. me lembra bons tempos

  • it's corn
