Your fooling yourself if you think most guys in your school, let alone your brother can hit those notes. I am a Low base, who is classically trained, with a very high Falsetto and I can't hit the notes that Kurt can. It takes quite a bit of effort to hit high notes in your falsetto. However, Kurt is using his regular voice and isn't flipping into his falsetto.

Why not simply watch it, then use things you learn from there. Sooner or later the teacher would have complimented you, THEN would be the time to mention glee.
The characters don't get to choose to be auto-tuned or not. Glee just auto-tunes everyone because they want their show to be perfect. HOWEVER that doesn't mean that the actors can't actually sing very well. It just means that while on Glee, they are auto-tuned. And it's no secret when you sound like a robot.
