Today in modern F1 the driver doesn't actually have to give imput. Everything else is done by computers and engineers.
Now, the 2007 car wasn't that good, it had much tire heating problems, yes it was the fastest car. That's what was mclaren's strongest point in 2007, the McLaren had instant race speed.
Kimi drove well in 2008(even doh the car didn't suit him at all) he won 2 races and if Hamilton didn't cheat in Spa of his exhaust didn't broke down in France, he would have won 4.

Have you never learned about the laws on Newton?
To put it simple: Hamilton lifted from the trottle, the car slowed down but a soon as he pushed to trottle again his car accelerated much faster then the ferrari and overtook kimi. (Kimi didn't stand a chance)
This is because an object moving at a certain speed tends to keep that speed, Hamilton lifted up the tendency was still there. (he just delayed it)

The age where drivers made the setup is long gone, today a car is setup by computers. A computer remembers everything a driver has done during a lap while the driver himself only can remember 10, in the best cases 30% of the decisions he has made during a lap.

Thats ridiculous, and as for momentum, perhaps you missed Hamilton go back behind Kimi after the chicane? Momentum had nothing to do with it, and Mclarens telemetry showed he lifted off the throttle and was travelling 6mph slower than Kimi over the line. Both drivers were fighting for grip on worn out tyres on a slippery track, Lewis double bluffed Kimi and caught him by surprise

Have you never learned about the laws on Newton?
To put it simple: Hamilton lifted from the trottle, the car slowed down but a soon as he pushed to trottle again his car accelerated much faster then the ferrari and overtook kimi. (Kimi didn't stand a chance)
This is because an object moving at a certain speed tends to keep that speed, Hamilton lifted up the tendency was still there. (he just delayed it)

Engineers and designers do not drive the cars, they rely 100% on driver input for everything from development to race set-up.

The age where drivers made the setup is long gone, today a car is setup by computers. A computer remembers everything a driver has done during a lap while the driver himself only can remember 10, in the best cases 30% of the decisions he has made during a lap.
A driver can only say, I want the car to react a more like this or this, but he doesn't set it up

Are you on drugs? Laws of Physics ARE NOT part of the FIA rules, so whatever scientific argument you are trying to push, it's completely irrelevant.
If you think that a team just plugs in a computer you are very naive, drivers work with engineers, their feedback is essential and there are numerous things on the car that are driver preference... gear ratios & supsension settings are driver specific, and with the ban on testing, development & set up go hand in hand with driver & engineers.

@bmk139 I think it was not only that. I think with departure of Todt new Ferrari government did not want kimi as their driver. Kimi was famous for providing very accurate description of car behavior and amendment suggestions at mclaren. I think Santander has a lot to do with kimi's departure. There is a lot of corruption involved everywhere where italians are present. There is much more motives involved than just the success of the team.

@bmk139 I think the preferred kimi. He is faster, calmer, and not problematic person when it comes to politics within the team. plus Mclaren knew how to work with him, they have managed to pull out a hell of a performance from Kimi but it was his decision not to go there. He had stated that in recent interviews. He said he was not sure he wanted that so right decision for him. But I admit I would prefer to see him stay and beat Alain Prost to second place in number of fastest laps in F1 history

I see your point and agree none of us will have a clue when it comes to driving an F1 car. However my only question is this. Where was he looking? It wasn't at the road ahead cos he would of seen the red light and kimi who had come to a stop. Second thing worth finding out is that he was about to re enter the track which means turning off speed limiter after the white line, the same line Kimi had come to a complete stop. it's fairly obvious he didn't mean to crash into kimi and why does hardly anyone mention nico in this incident? he did pretty much the same thing! (this is one of only a handful of videos i've seen that even mention it).
