I remember that cover...we had a VHS copy with the exact same cover back in the early 80's.

I still think that this film has one of the greatest...if no,t THE greatest soundtracks...Tobe Hooper & Wayne Bell....take a bow.

Is it the whole film? I know back in the day there was a limit to the length of the film so a lot of films were released in a heavily edited form to be able to fit them on the reel. I have hazy memories of watching Star Wars on super 8 at a friends house when I was a kid, it was only about 30 minutes long and had no sound, but it was the greatest thing ever to be able to watch Star Wars on a projector screen

I'm not an expert on this, but I guess it is a 120 meter reel, right? That would mean the film has a length of 25min. Maybe that is why they shortened the text on the back ;-)

@ztrewq9 Yeah I forgot to mention this - it's obviously an abridged version so it's a lot short than the full film. I believe there were full versions of the film released on 8mm as well but then they came on 4 reels I believe, and they are even rarer.

Do you have any means to project this? (i know that's not nessesarily the point of owning this) How do you know the actual Super 8 is TCM, it could be Mary Poppins?!
