@tnman39 Thanks....Byrds are (were) an awesome band. I actually had to go to an "eye-doctor" place and look through their venders/catalogs to find the rectangle shape glasses. Then I just had them put in dark glass. This was back in the 80's. I do remember they were expensive and the frames had to come from a vender in Italy. But that's the only way I imagine a person can get them. NOBODY sells the original type unless they are very cheesy and cheaply made.
Ok...I'm Byrds Insatiable.....SOOOOO, have you ever considered doing "Full Circle" of the their 1973 self titled or McGuinn's King of the Hill and Someone to Love ??? All three would be welcomed additions in my book. Great work!!
Very nice, indeed! I was expecting the Ric to sound great, but you, yourself, do a wonderful vocal impersonation of McGuinn, which I *wasn't* expecting! Thank you! By the way, what kind of amp are you running the mighty three-seven-oh-slash-twelve-ar-emm through? Sounds really good, capturing the full spectrum the instrument is capable of, including the low end.
Actually I'm running the mix and Rickenbacker through a common Mackie mixing board. From there I have a pair of head phones wrapped around the mic on the camcorder. I'm using the house PA speakers as a monitor only.
Hi, Byrds1967 --- now, *that* is some studio ingenuity, just like something the great bands would've done back then (like recording a guitar-solo in a shower-stall, a la Jimmy Page)! Must be some kick-a** headphones (and a more-than-decent mic, too) --- the fabled Koss Pro-4s, perhaps? :-) Oh, and I didn't mean to ignore Ms. Brinker's contribution on the Crosby part --- she's great, too, and it's kinda neat to have a guy-and-girl vocal combination on this one.
I'm beyond impressed. I'm a huge Byrds\Roger McGuinn fan. You do justice to the artist, sir.
Oh...and one more thing...where can I find a pair of glasses like that? I've been looking for a pair like Roger's for years.

Sounds better than the Byrds did performing live. Nice job!! How about recording something off the wall..like 'Mind Gardens'?

Man, that would be brutal. I don't do Crosby very well. And that song goes beyond reason.

Maybe just an instrumental version?...love this by the way
