Has she competed after this injury again or has she now officially retired from competitive gymnastics? I am jut about to start catching up on gymnastics again.
@tedsler No, she is still in gymnastics and she plans to do so until the olympics in 2016!!! I saw an interview a couple of days ago where she said this. Incredible, isn´t it?
@port152009 oh shut up, she's frickin 33! You should be amazed by the fact she still takes a part in this sport. She's 33, and better than you also...
Torn right achilles, in case you didn't see the two comments left after yours. Same injury that Courtney Kupets from the United States has had twice now (2003 and 2008). It usually takes a good 10 months to a year to resume top level training again. It will be a tough recovery for a 33 year old, but I believe she can do it.

No she tore her Achilles Tendon not her ACL. The ACL is in the knee not the foot like the Achilles
