you should use acrylic paints.. shoes are very different than nails :D

never never ever use nailpolish when doing things like this. Nailpolis is only for nails. Try next time acrylics, those do nice work and don't leave the shoe sticky and smelly. Nailpolish is meant to be temporary so it will leave quite easily.
