I'm getting a bass tomorrow and was watching some of your videos, when I checked out your channel I found out you're from The Netherlands as well. Vette videos!
HELLO, HERES A FEW TIPS FOR ALL.. TAKE ASPRIN ABOUT 30 TO 45 MINS BEFORE PLAYING.. IT THINS THE BLOOD . WHICH IS THE EQUIVILENT OF A 20 MIN WARM UP. TRY IT!!! ALSO THE WIDER THE STRAP THE BETTER.. WITH A THIN STRAP YOU USE A LOT OF LEFT ARM STRENGHT HOLDING UP THE NECK.. WIDE STRAP WILL BALANCE THE BASS LEAVING THAT STRENGHT USEABLE FOR PLAYING INSTAED OF HOLDING!!
Great song! I used to sling my bass down past my waistline(yeah ,it looked cool buy my technique suffered). Now I prefer to wear it around chest high or higher.I'd rather play properly than to look cool anymore.Keep up the good work!
Hold your bass wherever you like! The higher the bass, I find, the easier it is to play! Sting, Robbie Shakespeare, Bruce Thomas, James Jamerson! They all did!
@Staxrock The most typical, and for most bass players the most comfortable position is to hang your bass at the same height relative to where it's at when you sit down with it. But it's really subjective and each person is going to want it differently, so try it at different heights and see what you like the best.
@laamchops Your comment shows to me that are not a musican. If you were, you would realize that some drummers position their drums differently, some guitarist hold their guitars differently , just as some bass players hold their instrument differently to others. A true musician wants to plays in a way that is most comfortable. I usually position my bass lower. In either case, I can tell you that infusion26 is a solid bass player.
@laamchops Sorry , no I didn't see that you were joking. My apologees if I offended you. I sometimes get annoyed when I see comments bad mouthing a creator of a video for the sakes of being cruel. I was just trying to point out that positionings of one's instrument is a personal preference. Sorry if I sounded as if I was attacking you.
Excellent positional playing and a great sound.Takes me back to the early 80's and playing this with a band on the military bases circuit in the U.K. Keep on rockin'.
Great cover to a great song. It seems fairly simple but I bet singing and playing it simultaneously would make it a little more tricky. I love When the Bassist is also the lead vocal.
cmon infusion lets hear u sing along like sting did while he played the song :D ... haha just kidding if ur anything like me i keep my mouth shut and stick to playin bass in my band except for the occassional backup vocal.
very nice work :) love the sound of your bass :)

@peerlesslondin Perhaps it helps but you may loose the riff you might have invented while warming up dum-dam-dum-boom hey that sounded massive :)

Beautiful, the bass seems to sound exactly the same like Sting plays on the record.
Am I right, or is this a listening error? :)
