I realy dont know what is hapening there but mybe the same thing oil...idk but i thin we should leave theme alone so they kill each other and when they will see that it is for nothing they will stop.
I don't believe our actions if Afganistan will win any hearts or minds since all seem to do is bomb innocent civilians. Maybe US should let other countries decide how they want to live. What do you think CROAT? What's going on there?
The troops will come home by October and the war will essentially "end" in the sense that stabilization of the region will take another form. It isn't just the Democrats who are against the war. More and more Republicans in Congress are too. Many have hinted off the record that by Sept... that is it!! Bush's approval rating: 28%. And the other 70%? That ain't all young people. As for the small minority who's for all of this... Put down the kool-aid and wake up to REALITY!!!
I think this a more appropriate song for you: watch?v=GNyAzuB1-rE
The Viet Nam era ended long ago. You are stuck in a temporal paradox. The young people, most of them, have no clue. Just like the teenagers during the VietNam war. Peace and Love, especially Love.
Inspiring video! I wish I could have been there to protest along with you. People came up with a lot of different ways to say the same thing. END THIS WAR!
Here's a terrific video of an outstanding civic action -- documenting that the passion for peace runs deep in San Diego, and that the people who are demanding an end to the U.S. occupation of Iraq cross all ages, colors and class. Thank goodness for YouTube and sdforpeace for bringing the message you'll never hear on your local news!
San Diego, long known as a conservative military town, has finally had it with this illegal, immoral, unjustified war. Kudos to all of you who showed up, made all the awesome signs and marched in the streets against Bush's "Surge" which will do nothing but put more blood on his hands.
It's not like that. Sure the outlying areas like El Cajon and Escondido are heavily republican, but for example, San Diego consists of more democrats than republicans (not that either party is good, but thems the facts).
Tom Petty rocks! Bush SUCKS!

The conservative label is a myth.
