  • This has nothing to do with Salvation. This has to do with us being effective forerunners that are not being confusing as to where people should go to find a body of likeminded, prayerful believers. I used to have the exact same thoughts as you do right now. I was recently baptized into this Church because of Mark's great presentation. Doesn't matter how many times they kick you out of the physical building, if you are jealous for God's Church, you will rebuke those individuals as aTrueChristian

  • @enochah sounds like we agree then. I can't go back even if I want to. My association with Mark prevents that... Mark's tour here was very heavily rebuked by the SDA church here. That and pretty much everyone I know has been kicked out of the SDA church and told not to come back.

Not only that, I can't agree to the baptismal vow about the SDA being the Remnant (doesn't make sense when you look at what the remnant is).

  • @jumanous Don't give up, brothers, sisters. It will be purified! But let's reason about this and pray together. Our leaders are only men. For someone to do that to your ministry, God would have their time of influence to come to an end, and their fruits will be exposed.

  • @enochah The remnant of the last church will be obscure "bundles" of people spread all over the world with one mind. There will be no giant revival of the SDA church structure... prophecy doesn't say that. The SDA church will live on, through people like you and me who know the truth, and declare it to the world without the SDA church telling us we can't present the 3 angels message.

  • Hi Jumanous ;-)

Good old Youtube comment here in this lecture of Paul. Actually, this question is about a post here bij "williamta01". i didn't know of other kinds of beliefs in the SDA church? I really hope this doesn't mean more confusion haha! How many denominations are there and do their beliefs differ prominently? What about the "28" beliefs of the church?

    Thanks!

  • @ljppol The problem I have with the 28 fundimentals is they used to be 25 for one... and for 2 they claim to be the remnant church of God, when the bible and Ellen White states very clearly that they aren't, even though they contain people who are a part of the remnant. There is not much confusion as long as you stick with the Bible and SOP you can't really go wrong. It's just when people try to mix their ideas in with the Bible and SOP.

  • @ljppol The SDA church has been infiltrated within an inch of it's life... they use NIVs, don't follow dress reform, have bad music, don't follow health reform anymore. We should expect this though given our closeness to the end of time, as Ellen White states clearly that this would occur just before the close of probation.

  • @jumanous It's still God's Church despite what you say. It will not fall.

    The Truth is the Truth.

  • @enochah God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20). Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ's church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church. {UL 315.5} (Ellen White)

  • @enochah I agree in principle. There is a church, it just isn't constrained to a bank account, or a registered trademark, it is simply the people who believe doctrines of the original SDA church (not the nominal SDA church) and Keep the commandments. These people will be the remnant. There may be a large portion from the Nominal SDA church, but that remains to be seen.

  • There's a point to what I'm saying. There's a difference between Protestantism and the Seventh-Day Adventists. Watch Three Elijahs by Mark Woodman. It will give you that answer. Denominations only exist to differentiate itself from different organizations with different ideas.. Seventh-Day Adventists are the Church of Revelation not defiled, because it's doctrines, unlike Protestantism, is the embodiment of all the Present Truth has until Jesus returns.

  • @enochah yeah.. that's the thing, I am SDA.. just not under control of the conference.

  • May I ask, is this historic SDA? Where can I find more about these church sites, and information?

  • May I ask, is this SDARM?

  • @williamta01 they do follow the reforms, however no, they are an independent group who follow the doctrines and principles of the original SDA church (1855-1905). They are particularly different to the SDARM in they believe Christ had sinful flesh, yet was without sin. Which is a vital distinction given this text: 1Jn 4:3 "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist" (the word flesh here means "sinful flesh".

  • Amen!!!

  • @williamta01 amen indeed :)
