I agree Samah El-Shahat is becoming increasingly tiresome and talks in an irritating way. If they want a strong female muslim interviwer and host with real brains (and who does not have to dress provocativly to be attractive) I'd vote for A-J's Ghida Fakhry who is sensational. or lose the presenter and stick with the documenatry element of the prog which is what it's all about.

What does what the moderator wears make a difference?...It really does not matter...as long as she's covering the topic in depth in an educational manner and without bias...

manos is being too kind. Samah El-Shahat is to interviewing what Myanmar is to human rights. There's also nothing clever about reading a script badly & as for sexy, she lacks appeal whether dressed like a Muslim or not. I like to watch credible current affairs presenters with depth & character eg the great Max Keiser who is sometimes on the show rather than someone who's clearly more style than substance. Westernized candyfloss hair & tight clothes doesn't make up for it. Get someone else please

How do consider what is proper for a Muslim woman to dress...Which Muslim country do you take for a guide...

Why should it make a difference how she dresses...

If she calls her self a Muslim, who are you to judge?...

Aburebecca, don't use language like that. It's good you agree that Samah El-Shahat is excellent. She presents a current affairs prog, not a showbiz or a travel program- i.e she presents a hard hitting show. Which means you should show her RESPECT! i've read all your meesages from before where you don't like her clothes because you think she isn't dressing like a muslim. The truth is you can't handle a clever and very sexy woman like her. She scares you......show that woman R.E.S.P.E.C.T....

Samah is excellent except for the fact that she does not have any respect for herself. Unjust. All Muslims should sit down and read the Qur an at least that way we would be authentic. Plus we would get the Blessing from the One. peace That professor knows his craft i think.

How can you tell she does not have respect for herself?...Did she have "magic communication" with you and tell you she does not have respect for herself...If you want to be an authentic Muslim, learn not to discriminate and surely the ONE will reward you for your humanity...I thought the only way to read the Qur'an was with an open heart (authentic in your words)...

I don't agree. I think Samah El-Shahat's presenting is really good. she has total control.Her questions show that she knows her stuff. And no she doesn't cut anyone mid-sentence. And when she did is to make sure, that we the vierers get the real picture of what is going on.

Samah El-Shahat comes across as a bit emotional in her style of speaking. She doesn't speak with professional detachment. It also looks like she's cutting off people in mid-response, unless the editing was very poor. She needs to take her Ritalin.
