Hello MiMi! You look so pretty! Again, for those of you that do not know, this is my mom. She's doing great and will be coming to see me in May. Keep up the good work and don't get discourage with the slower weight loss. Remember, I was there (and still am). You just gotta stay on track! Love and miss you (even though I talk to you almost every day)
You mention you take Bariatric Advantage vitamins and also that you take everything but your iron first thing in the morning. So, can you take both of the multi's at the same time. I've always wondered if you could.
From what I was told the only things that you can't take together are the iron and the calcium citrate. So I take my iron in the afternnon and everything else first thing in the morning as soon as my eyes are open.
Wow, long time no video!! Glad to see you. Wow, look at your weight loss! Good going!! Don't worry about the stall. It will come and go. Just concentrate on your food intake, protein and being happy! Enjoy your life!! Take care
I hate when I miss my usual day to update and them life takes hold and I forget. I really need to get better at that. Thank you for your kind comments. Whay are you only going to weigh every 2 weeks now?
Basically because I was a slave to the scale. Still am, but with my weight loss so slow I get frustrated reporting the tiny or NO losses each week. It's depressing. So, if I wait for every two weeks, it makes it seem like it's much more..giving me the illusion that I'm losing more weight than I am, and increasing my motivation. haha I'm weird like that! I try to trick myself into thinking differently. It usually fails and I end up back where I started. Wish me luck.
I do wish you all the luck in the world!!! I have found for me that is I still do the protein shakes and some food I do better. I use the UNJURY protein powder and it works and tastes great. I still have no hunger so I really don't think about food much and the protein powder seems to help me get in all my protein.
Well, I am just 4 weeks out, lost 13 lbs the first week and 0 lbs week 2 & 3. I almost wanted to die and thought that maybe the surgery really wasn't done on me! However, my husband took the scale away and I just kept going along. Today, I am down another 4 lbs. So, when you want to get upset bc the scale doesn't move, think about the post-op pts that have had the stall at week 2! I am also trying to convince myself that maybe if I lose slow, I won't need plastic surgery!
You need to watch alot of other youtubers in the WLS community to see that you are not alone. Everyone loses at a different rate. I have tons of weight to lose. Do you get in all your protein everyday? I know that it is hard to do at first. Also...water, water, water!!! I find that if I do all that, protein and water, that I have more control over the weight loss. I send you best wishes and prayers on your weight loss!!
Congratulations on the loss!! It must make you feel good to have helped out the gals leaving the hospital and to see how happy the gal in the thrift store was for you! I am scheduled to attend the seminar next Thurs, but they still haven't sent the info. Time to call them. I am hoping this seminar will give me the confidence to go thru with it or another route, I am still sitting on the fence. Gotta get rid of the diabetes tho. It's hard right now. I am so happy for you!!!
My diabetes and blood pressure were instantly cured with this surgery. No more medicine required!!! WOO HOO!!! If you have any questions that I can answer for you, please write to me. The surgery was the absolute best thing I have ever done for ME!!! I will never regret it and you will be happy too if that is the route you choose to take.
Don't worry about any future stalls. You'll get through it. Stalls are frustrating, but if you are doing everything your suppose to, those stalls will be short lived. Check your measurements and keep yourself preoccupied. If necessary avoid weighing yourself every day. Sometimes it can be hard, we all want our weight off yesterday, our weight will come off when our bodies are ready to give it up not a moment before.
Thank you so much!!! I am just waiting for the STALL but I know that I will be able to manage it. I, like everyone else, hope and pray that this weight will just fall off. But you are so right in saying that I did not put this weight on overnight and it will not fall off overnight. Thank you for your words of encouragement.
