i played butcher bay on pc a week ago and fell in love with starbreeze once more after the darkness on 360. now the demo... i had no idea how to control it and i just loved the quicksaving in the first one, i pretty much quicksaved before entering a room ^^ i hate doing things twice. i dont know if i will be getting along with those checkpoints, they were awful in riddick 1.
I don't know, The Darkness was a great game but it kinda felt like I was controlling a tank, the same with the Riddick Demo. As for the graphics I've seen some footage of what i think was the PC verision and it looked alot better, we'll see when it comes out :)
its because of the console gamepads, everything feels kind of "limited", although i LOVE the controls of halo - its great once you know what you can and what you cant do. but with a low sensitivity setting shooters dont feel authentic.
riddick has more dynamic lighting and shadows than the darkness and more post processing than crysis (fact!)
Overall, the game really feels like The Darkness - its looks and controls are very similar. But I must admit, it's hard to beat Killzone 2 in pretty much every regard, so I guess it'll be awhile before we see a game that can compete with KZ2 in that regard. Probably the new installment of Uncharted will be such a game :)
The graphics reminds me a lot of how the first Riddick game looked. Looked amazing on the original Xbox but now all those shiny surfaces just look out of place. Would have been nice to seen them "dirty" up the game some.
That being said, I'm sure the gameplay is as awesome as ever. The first game was a fantastic stealth-action game, one of the best games overall on the Xbox.
I'm loving these tech analysis videos, but I have to say it bothers me a bit to see a Riddick game referred to as a shooter. Sure, I guess you can play it like that on Easy and maybe even Normal, but on Hard you really have no option other than being as careful and stealthy as possible.
However I do agree that this game is looking fantastic, both from a graphics and gameplay perspective, and I can't wait for it to finally be released.
Is it random or is it riddick from pitch black?

Just wait for the PC version, I think it'll have way better controls and visuals.

You can shoot lights in the game, by the way.

you comparing a multiplateform game to a PS3 only game ... doesnt make much sense does it ?
and they not even the same gender FPS ...
KZ2 is more of a warfare Gears of War / Resistance
while Dark athena is more of an Infiltration such a Splinter cell / Hitman
