  • Great pics... A lot of the pics would be better without those halters on

  • Beautiful. But, of course, my favorite breed is the Arabian. :D

  • this breed was nearly wiped out! The U.S. army turned out draft horse studs lose on the plains 1800's. Their goal to slow down the way fast Appys. In doing so they wiped out years of breeding. That's why there are huge appys today.

  • I love appys <3 I've had them my whole life, couldn't ask for a better horse.

  • so beautiful i love them they are so proude an free xD

  • who said quarter horses are dumb? theyre king of any rodeo.

  • Vraiment magnifique

  • omg barf in my mouth!! and allover keyboard, appaloosas burn my eyes out! ride a quarterhorse bitches!

  • @Jessers4Ever Prior to the time when the Appaloosa and Quarter horse registries were started in the late 1930s to early 1940s, people just bred nice looking horses to nice looking horses ( Quarter horses and Appaloosas) to get the stock horse and working ranch horses. When the registries were started , many roan Appaloosa were registered as Quarter horses because the people doing the registering didn't know the DIFFERENCE between a roan horse and a roan Appaloosa. Yes, there IS a difference.

  • @Jessers4Ever Quarter horses used to be good horses, but have had their brains bred out of them now. I wouldnt trade one 30 year old broke down appaloosa for a million dumb ass quarter horses.

  • @Jessers4Ever QH breeders have all gone to shit and now all your left with a a bunch of crazy stupid QHs. You really have to go back and research breeders to find the good foundation QHs if you want a sane one.

  • Are Appaloosa a good horse to own?? I may be buying one soon, are they laid back or are they spooky?? I'm from the U.K so there ain't many around here so dont no much about them.. so would really like your opinion Thanks :)

  • @shann2207 My appy is pretty laid back and chill,he has a fun and quirky personality. As long as he is getting exercised regularly he is a dream to be around and i would recommend the breed highly. Like all horses appys may spook, I would say weither the horse is spooky or not depends on the indivigual and the training it recieves. Good luck!

  • I have an Appaloosa <3

  • appaloosas are so adourable ;-D

  • It seems that people have forgotten what app. really are. Most people see them as hyper crazy horses. Before the white man came to the US the native americans had NO problems with them.what happend was the breeding got messed up and made them crazy. The is a tribe right now that is breeding app right again, setting the back for there loved horses. Before you say any smart ass comments Im native american.I have owned 2 Appaloosas in my life.one was crazy and one i got from my sis tribe and was great.

  • I've got a beautiful App. mare I've got to sell. Needs a man with a gentle touch and a good home. Anyone out there? She's 8 yrs., Chestnut roan, white blanket, very nice pedigree, smart. I've got injuries that make it too hard for me to ride her. She's a good 15 hands. I know there's someone out there that would make a great horse out of her. She has so much potential.

  • 0:46 && :0:56 && 1:03

They have to be the prettiest horses i have ever saw<33

  • @jaydeecat96 my tribe and nezperce were only tribes to breed horsesi liike this leopardd appaloosa

  • @appys4life before i had a stroke i painted horses very well

  • @thoostorm4 wow! what a great talent to be blessed with!

  • i love horses! :D

  • OMG i am in complete love with these beautiful horses ima make my dad sell my paint and get me an appy <3

  • I worked with a black & white Appaloosa when I was a teenager. I loved how wide his ribcage was. He was so much more fun to ride than the narrow Thoroughbreds and so much more laid back! Great breed.

  • Apaloosa grande paixao

  • i love appaloosa so much <3

  • I can't wait to lease mine.

  • This horse looks so cool it should have been in red dead redemption

  • @gcaban123 yush totally should have lol. but i was fine with the paint QH or the war horse X3

  • @jukka2311 :D

  • have one myselve and i never wanna lose him <3 love you rayo !!

  • Appaloosa...the true AMERICAN HORSE...bred with amazing quality by the wonderful Nez Perce Nation...i am SO very blessed to have an Appy gelding from foundation bloodlines....he was a rescue, sadly, didn't know who his sire was until a year after cutting him (we are not indiscrimenent breeders)...if only i'd known, he'd stil be a stud..but he's wonderful & i adore him--he is my life!! i'd be lost without him<3 beautiful vid to honor these great horses!! :)

  • amazing horses :) <3

  • I <3 APPALOOSAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ROCK! How can you go wrong with an Appaloosa? Appies are my favorites!

  • Appaloosas are a friendly but very strong headed or at least mine is :P

  • My favorites. How can you go wrong with an Appy?

  • The black/white photo's are of the herd belonging to Milton & Mary Decker. Decker Red Eagle Appaloosas. Their foals are all registered with the initials 'DREA'. Their program consistently produces black and white leopards, near leopards and snowcaps, occasionally a solid. We are finally understanding the genetics that produce the white markings, it's become clear that outcrossing to non-Appaloosa breeds causes loss of the genetics. To get a leopard your must have leopards in the ancestors.

  • i always wanted an appaloosa with spots every where and the spots to be like a redish colour and name him/her Dragon

  • you have a gelding and call her she..and he has a girls name???....odd

  • i have an appaloosa myself, called magic and he goes everywhere where i stay

we rescued him when he was a foal he was trapped between two trees

after a stom. hes a little bit wild sometimes but that is ok

i absolutely love your video and the appaloosa horse

    xx

  • amazing =)

  • I own 2 appaloosas Both were rescues they will be with me till they die...I love them so much...

  • I have an Apploosa :D

  • What a Beauty @ 1.00.......Noice Horse......Wish i had this one.

  • Appaloosa is my fav horse! Beautiful!

  • You're sure 1:02 is an Appaloosa? Looks to me more like a Knabstrupper!

  • i like the ones where the front half is black and the back is speckled. prettiest horse there is.

  • When we were 1...

  • i have loved apps ever since i was a little girl, and i never thought i could persuade my dad into getting one, but surprisingly i did after i took riding lessons for a year. She's a gorgeous leopard appaloosa gelding with innumerable speckles and spots of brown and black. Her name is Magic Lily. :D

  • οταν εχω αρκετα λεφτα θα σε ζητησω να με στειλεις ενα αλογακι

    γιωργοσ απο ελλαδα

  • Oh, these are beautiful!

  • Without a doubt my Favorite Horses!

  • I love them :D !

  • i have 2 appaloosas one gelding named Littleman and a mare named Clamintine

  • It seems that the short tail and mane hair has for the most part been bred out of them. All the ones I ever see these days all have long hair.

  • Appaloosa's were brought into this country not by the spanish but by russian traders in the pacific north west..they were traded/sold to nez pierce and they bred them to there distinct qualities....the sparse mane n tails were for moving in and out of the scrub brush found in idaho...so much of the breed has been lost to idiot breeders who want to give them thier view of a great horse..pretty mains ..long thoroughbred legs and the hot insane blood of a idiot arab..

  • @Dojocho you forgot to add that the spots came from the British spotted pony , it is where spots in horses came from . and you are right i wish there were more sane appaloosa's . i have two spotty gypsy horses love em .

  • @Dojocho

  • Appaloosas were a purebred arabian breed that lost their popularity until the Nez Perce bred them to perfection long ago. The NP have a very tragic story that everyone should hear. Chief Joseph is a name to remember. I know this because I am from Idaho, and it just so happens the NP were living on the land I was raised on for thousands of years until the govt. stole it. Everyone should hear of this atrocity. For those looking for Apps you could probably find one on an ID website.

  • this is nez perce appaloosa the story beautifull video thanks

  • appaloosas are the most beatiful horses in the world

  • i have never seen such beautiful horses so very special thankyou for sharing ;-)

  • These pics are great... but, try going online to find colorful, correct, foundation-bred appaloosas for sale... All I see nowadays are Quarter Horses with maybe a faint blanket, or mutton-withered Appys that I wouldn't give a dime for!!

  • What Native American's bred these horses?

  • appaloosas are awsome-i just won't ride anything else

  • native american's didn't have horses and appaloosa is a Spanish word. Natives just grabbed wild Spanish horses.

  • @NJRocks281

true, but they grapped mediocre horses and made them great... Appaloosa's RULE!! Or at least the Nez Perce Indians did

  • @NJRocks281 Actually European settlers found the Indians mounted wherever they went - The spread of escaped spanish horses from South America cannot account for the tribes in the North being mounted and expert in such a short time not to mention in posession of thousands of horses. Archeologists do NOT do any tests on horse skeletons in America , they just throw them away. Palouse is near Canada btw and Appaloosa is a French-Canadian word meaning 'of Palouse'.
