  • very clear and precise instructions although it still took me three attempts to get it right, mind you i am a man.

  • The instructions were very clear and the narration was easy to understand

  • thanks :) i wasn't sure how to do it at all before.

  • Thank you! I could not figure out how to do these for the life of me. The example in the back of the book doesn't have a great view of what to do.

  • I am having a difficult time with french knots. Maybe because it's hard watching a right handed person do it. Try imagining to do it backwards!

  • 1 FREE CROSS STITCH PATTERN EVERYDAY. You can also purchase the the ones that are for sale.

You can do the same if you post it on forums and otherweb sites that you like.

  • Thanks for posting this - very useful and clearly presented. I knew YouTube would come to my aid!

  • didn't work!! :(

  • thank u! this really helped me^_^

  • Very informative ie what goes wrong if you do it wrong, and which hole to put it. The diagram looked user friendly in my book, but it didn't explain in enough detail so Youtube really helped me out. I can do it now, even if I am bit slow:-)

  • I have had frustrating struggles with french knots, and grew to hate them. I have found the diagrams included weren't helpful in the least.

This video is fantastic, being able to see someone show how its done, and it looks soo easy! Thanks for making this video!

  • wtf''!how are you suppose to see with all this crap on there i didnt want to read a book''

  • thank you very much!! this video made it much easier than looking at the diagram on the instructions! now my frogs will be able to see :)

  • thank you very much.......

  • thnx

  • Ive been looking at a number of Utube demos for french knot and NONE say if the needle goes BACK into the SAME hole as it came out of OR if it does NOT go back into the same hole. I cant see from any of the demos if it is going back into the SAME HOLE or NOT????? Please Explain...thanks :)

  • For a french knot you never go back into the same hole you came through from, or else you will find you end up pulling your "knot" through to the back side of the work!

Instead you make sure you go back down adjacent to the hole you came up from. My definition of "adjacent" depends on the fabric you are using. If you are stitching on linen, you can go back down the hole next to the one you came up. If stitching on Aida, you split the canvas like you would for a quarter stitch. Hope that helps.

  • You make it look so easy. I have been cross stitching for 15 years and french knots are the bane of my existence.
