I just saw Mr Khan on Colbert show, and am discovering the videos wow ! TY so much for your work ! On that interview , the fact that your not an educator was received negatively. Anyone with 1/2 a brain can see that your work is the ultimate teachers tool, instead the audience's political bias was offended that you can do as well as pros on the subjects you are trained in. As if Plato and his students all had teaching certificates , and that's why people listened to what they had to teach.

I have a friend who has taken lessons from Khan Academy for about a year or so. Actually he is my classmate. We are attending a 2nd high school grade in Croatia (I don't know how things with school work at other places in the world), and all i wan't to say that the guy is crazy. He does quantum physics and stuff that require so much math that it's almost impossible to belive he really does that.

Can you guess where he's learned all that math? :)

yea this man is an angel, he literaly taught me in a hour what it took a me a  week to do by teaching myself through books, I went from pre algebra to Calculus in a few months, and am about to start phyics. the thing that I believe seperates him from every other tutor is that he not only teaches you how to do the problem but teaches you WHY your able to do that way which gives a greater understanding and appreciation of the beautry of math and physics,

The problem is the banks didn't really risk anything. The big boys like Goldman Sacs just pushed out the ones they didn't want and bailed out the others. I second that -- I've told at least 15 people about khanacademy, and everybody agrees it's the most amazing educational resource in the world and at least a 100 times better than our teachers.

Given the way Sal explains it and nature of the YouTube videos, I don't think I've ever had difficulty understanding anything he has ever explained -- pretty amazing to think about given that it's a difficulty most teachers have.

Ten more CNN appearances, and I think Sal will be on his way to Sweden!
