I actually found Leviathan very useful in this game (FC/NES version), it does around 2000-2500 damage to each enemy on the screen (a lot better than Quake at the same spell level). Very useful in the Sylx Tower, Eureka and for level/skill grinding in the Bahamut cave (wipes off every enemy there => less returns to the airship inn).

The first time you face Bahamut (in his nest), he's nearly invincible. I found out through my hex editor that he has roughly 300 million hp IIRC.

when I first heard the few scenes in FFIV DS....I jizzed at the voice acting. The game is truly a fun remake of an old classic. I hope they get around to make FFV and FFVI DS remakes with the same quality as FFIV.

I seem to recall you mentioning in the video you got him that Odin, if used by a "white" caster instead of a Summoner, would set up Reflect on all your characters at once. Wouldn't that have been a more efficient tactic than using the Barriers one at a time?

leviathin took me 2 tries, 1 at level 39, 1 at 41, Dark knight, Envoker, White mage, Black mage. also he is much harder on DS, your party would have been toast.

It just dawn on me, now I know why the DS version is much harder than the original version...it's because most bosses have 2 or more attacks at the same time. Leviathan could use the tsunami attack twice in a round...why didn't I catch on to this sooner...

DS version is easier since there can never be more than 3 enemies in a battle (except when the guys in the sewers) so to balance it, the stats are worse, the ninja suck along with the sage, and the bosses are harder.

In the DS version a full-group Curaja (Cure 4) heals for about 2800 or so. Then again, if it did heal for about 400 like in this version, the game would be impossible..

FFIV DS is really difficult. Like 7th Saga difficult. Goblins do 100 damage in that game to dark knight Cecil, who is pretty heavily armored.

I got final fantasy IV ds and ive gotten to the lunar subterean place and everythings freaking hard beyond comprehension i guess in my terms at least. Red Dragons have way 2 much health!

I've just gotten to that area as well - picked up the Murasame. I think I'll need to go in, find a save point, and use that as a base for other travels to bosses and items, as Level 63-65 characters are still taking 4-digit damage (or at least 700) on almost every hit. Now I know why I assigned a couple of the Augments the way I did (though I missed Dualcast, Reach, and Fusoya's other two, and I need a Rainbow Pudding for the others).

My characters are really in the 80's and im still getting obliterated by Blue dragons and red dragons. And there reaching there attack strength limit.

Yeah, same here - I know what I need to do to defeat two Blue Dragons at once, but it requires Rosa to get three turns!  She can't survive that long against multiple Icestorms... maybe I should have her Berserk the dragons one at a time first, then Slow them? If only I could make sense of the B5 minimap...

I have a DS and final fantasy 3 for DS and it's way harder than this. The monsters can hit you more than once sometimes. The phisical attacks do so little damage even with duel weapons and that's a problem because the monsters have a lot more Hit points now for some reason. Also gaining hit points for party members seems to be harder than this you have 2000 hit points on some party members I only have 1400 hp and my party is around level 37.

Yeah, in the DS version gaining HP is a lot harder, you'll usually end the game with around 2500 hp in the mid 50's, they wanted to make it harder than the NES counterpart.

Pretty simple. Given that Dorga and Unne were disciples of Noah, it could be concluded that they'd be able to stop Zande, Noah's third disciple. Whenever the heroes of a game befriend somebody with great power, that person has to be killed to make the point that the heroes are truly the only hope for the world.
