I'm not a big fan of the custom bindings, i find them to be a little too flimsy, i like a stiffer binding. I bought the Burton Triads last year and they were awesome, this year's cartel's look pretty sick too

i just apply pressure on the ratchet and it wont slip when tightening

got the same problem the ratchet slips but holds well does not affect my riding

exactly. they wouldnt sell them if it loosened, but it slips like many low-end rachets. if you are that concerned you can buy a pair of straps from another model on ebay.

I just bought a pair of those, but gotta take them back, same ones. my ratchet slips on the toe strap and it pops off when i ride. Did you have any problems like that with yours?

i have the same problem with the rachet slipping and people i have talked with say the same thing. it's pretty common for bindings in this price range. i dont have problems with it coming undone- definitely have them checked out. for the same amount of money there is far better stuff you can buy, too. i only got these because it was the only thing left at the store. check out stuff on sale now like ride spi bindings (i saw a site with them on sale for 140) and flux- a newer (but solid) company.

What's the leach and stomp pad

a stomp mat is just something abrasive you put on the board, between the bindings. it is to give traction when you get off the lift so you don't slip. as far as the leash goes, i'm not sure. i never used on until i got the bindings, but i think it is connected to your front foot to the front binding.

the leash u connect from the front biding to ur foot so on the lift if for some reason ur binding comes off, your board will stay with you. no1 uses em anymore tho

@mahomieg i really don't know. i haven't used them, but i assume that you hook it from your binding to your front facing boot to stop runaway boards, but if that foots always strapped in i dont see a purpose. unless its to hold while you make adjustments....

@spitfireman111 word, im assuming by your username you skateboard too. if you haven't bought a new board yet look for something reverse camber since the pop is in the bindings, like skateboard trucks. it gives a more "skatey" feel...

haha, sorry about the late reply. i just logged on youtube for the first time this month =( If you have the money, the union force bindings are good, and i like the flow NXT's. may want to keep in mind though, that these will set you back a lot more than some customs.
