My 1st comment is full of facts telling how American military pathologists did not find 1 case in Auschwitz of death by gassing. What they did find in 100s of autopsies was death due to typhoid disease.
Historians are reputable today because if they present the facts that show it did not happen, they are witchunted and lose their job, their career, their livlihood.Also in France and Germany you are imprisoned.

Many of the US cabinet members are unelected and are appointed from the private sector for their expertise. We should do likewise.
Many available experts would spend a term running a govt. department, but none could ever have survived the climb through the gombeen-promoting system we have.

Thus your question was irrelevant as everybody attends a state-sponsored school even if they have the means and desire not to. @Freshhhhh1982 She shouldn't and she didn't. Education has been deemed a public good which every person is equally entitled to (I disagree with that but that's the way it is). It's not a welfare programme for a specific subgroup (the disabled, aged, disadvantaged etc.) My parents' tax contribution far exceeded the cost of my education, a tax rebate or a marginal reduction would have meant some of that money could be used on my education
