From what? The threat from our ALL LOVING creator condemning us to burn for eternity because some woman made from a rib took the advice of a talking snake and ate a bit of fruit thus condemning every descendant forever and ever to be BORN with sin?
Somehow I don't think we need saving. Please keep your delusion to yourself!
we don't need more of this shit! reality shows are so stupid and fake and to add another layer of fake i.e. religion makes it all the more stupid and fake. the us needs to wake up and pull their head out of their ass!
Well I would say that is a good idea... and it is ... but It has already been done! The Lampshades T.V. show is a religious reality T.V. show and it is already well within it's first season. Pastor Sekuma Lambew and his identical twin brother Lucifer Lambew stars in this show. Basically they go out saving souls for the kingdom of God and record their efforts on camera for all to see. So if you really want ideas on how to bring religion into the view of the public take a look at that show.
The reason you don't have many responses to this is because a true believer knows the disrespectful way this can be twisted by hollywood. I have always been more than happy to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone I meet. I don't need a television show or a financial incentive to do so. I don't want to "fight it out" with people for ratings, I want to glorify God with my life. And we know that we can't save anyone, only God can do that. All we can do is share the message of salvation.
Since so many Christianists consider atheism a form of secular religion, I'd like to consider adding a full-fledged atheist in the mix. Now, THAT will be spectacular to watch.
So, he's looking for zealots. That's going to be inspirational. /sarcasm
OK, my alternate idea *might* make terrible TV, but how about believers of different faiths working together on a community project that meets the different compassionate, helping tenets of all religions? There's still be room for drama and opposing viewpoints, but without the screaming, fingers-in-ears catfighting this show promises to deliver. Terrible
But I fear it will highlight the worst that is inspired to by each of our faiths.
It will not represent the respect most of us have for others, or the genuine love and hospitality that God urges for neighbor and stranger.
It will celebrate ignorance of others, and myopic vision. Such attitudes are not the result of deep commitment to a particular faith, but rise from the way a faith can be forced on another, and from an unwillingness it listen to another's story.
Doug Pollock is your man for evangelical Christianity. He is definitely sold out to Christ and always focused on winning new believers to basic, Biblical Christianity.
To those of you who doubted that it could get any worse than Jersey Shore in reality TV. I give you exhibit A, "SaveMe".
How about 'spare me'

Another way to make fools out of people for money. What's the greatest joke these days? Religion. I'm not religious but it gets old REALLY fast.

Reality TV is all about the editing folks. If this guy is in the booth, you already know who wins.
