thank you for posting. I lost friends in this storm. Bay st. Louis/Waveland, MS area. Still brings tears to my eyes.

My house is about 10-15 miles west of where the eyewall passed and all we got were fence and tree damage.
It's crazy how much more worse the east side of a Hurricane is than the west.

at :44 through :46 seconds Hurricane Katrina basically has a large and perfectly round eyewall (concentric).

What a beast! Katrina was a massive storm in terms of sheer size.
Notice at 0:54 and 0:56 where it knocks out the New Orleans, LA and then the Jackson, MS radar towers.
