This isn't my video, but I actually chased some of these exact same storms and can tell you about several others. The first 50 secs. were tornadic shots primarily in Nebraska. They were shot by fellow chaser and one of THE BEST tornado photogs in the business, Mike Hollingshead. Into tornado photos?? ..then you MUST pull up his website: Google EXTREME INSTABILITY. I know the old old looking photo is supposedly the oldest tornado shot on record. It's @ 1880's, in east central South Dakota.

He's probably heard from a million people so i wont directly reply to him but popsicle589's comment on 1:29 being a tornado is untrue. It's a very low base of a wall cloud with clear rotation, and he seems to think that just because a tornado is large in size it is classified as and F-5 but that is a huge misconception lol.

No they definitely didn't. All the tornadoes in Twister are computer generated. and that picture at 1:29 isn't even of a tornado, just a very low wall cloud.

Yes they are real, its a photographic technique called HDR or High Dynamic Range photography. Basically you take a number of shots (3, 4, 5, etc) at different exposures, some under exposed, some over, some right on the money. Then you put all the pictures together and get what you see here.
