Does anyone remember a single scene... from a 1968 - 1973 ish period, childrens series, which may be this one. A scene with a victorian bedroom, an elderly lady on a couch in foreground, and an inquisitive young girl looking into a tall glass case with a wedding dress, inside. She ignores the old ladys warning , " not to open it " and when the air gets inside , the dress falls into dust. The old lady collapses. Its NOT Dickens, possibly from, A Little Princess 1973....if anyone knows that ??
@wellohmeeeeeee Hi, I remember the scene well. It is the girl who collapses, telling the old woman how much she hates her! The old woman then relates to a young man, who is there at the time, that that is why she did not allow her to touch the dress. Have you discovered what the show is yet. It has haunted me for years.
I was always looking for the series where in my childrens-memory is embedded the sentence (walkietalky or something) (in Dutch fonetics)"calling bees calling bees, over". This must be that show, which was broadcasted in \Holland as 'De Vrijbuiters'. Awfully exciting series. Thnx for posting!
As a boy Southern TV's 'Freewheelers' was my favourite tv programme. Ahead of it's time in many respects, although just like me, it looks it age now! I loved the theme music, but I cannot find it for love nor money. Any idea?
i remember wendy padbury(zoe)of dr who fame being in this, also another series on at the same time called the barnstormers, but noone seems to remember them.
Zoiks! First time I've seen any of this show for the last thirty years! Used to be a low-budget James bond for kids - but with the helicopters and secret agent stuff, plus the unbeatable music, I fell for it at the time. Have some vague memories of other episodes and would love to see more of the series.
I know the character is called Colonel Buchan but when Von Gelb sees him it sounds like he says 'bugger'! - Great to see but unintentionally hilarious! ;-D
Is the rest of the episode lost? I understand that most Freewheelers material before season 5 is lost, right?

I've got the full end theme tune to this series. It's called Teenage Carnival by Keith Mansfield.

The theme music is called 'Teenage Carnival' and was composed by Keith Mansfield. It's commercially available but you may have to hunt around a bit.
