  • Joan Baez is such a fabulous singer!

  • Goosebump time - brilliant voice and song

  • NOBODY SINGS BALLADS THE WAY JOAN BAEZ!

  • j'aime beaucoup cette version . Il y a aussi celle de Pete Seeger dans ses American Favorites Ballads qui est à posséder si l'on aime le folk song et son histoire .Pete Seeger made researchs about each song he sings and compares several versions . He explains the origins of each song and sings it well . He is a master in banjo playing and guitar .and a scientist in musics .

  • Listen to Olivia Newton-John's version.

  • Nice renditin but there are still others I prefer more.

  • Classic Joan....

  • and only say that you'll be mine. . .

  • Très touchante chanson que j'écoutai des centaines de fois dans la

brousse africaine en 1962. Merci pour cette très belle mélodie.

  • Ola Telijencio: What if Joan had reversed the roles in her lyrics, would've been neat?

Even on the macho wordings as they are, this renditions was one of my favorites when I lived "on the banks of the Ohio" looooong time back. - Vol. 2 should be available by now at Amazon's, maybe elsewhere as well. Joan is one of the greats. Saludos.
