The main reason was they feared that communism would take over the world and threaten poor allied countries to them- cambodia, south vietnam and thailand might get sucked into communism so they based soldiers there- more so south vietnam, the NLF- vietcong hated this and went to war with the us the NVA didn't join the war till 1968 during the tet offensive then america began bombing hanoi with B52 bombers

South vietnam began to panic it was useless against north vietnam, a brave-honorable well organised and better armed force who would over run them in a matter of 1 or 2 years basically the south wanted u.s to fight their war while they sat around doing nothing but gamble and protustion and enjoying u.s way of relaxsion on a saturday night but only every night. and i was glad the north unified the south.

But who fought with us, no one, just all Vietnamese people, Americans joined the war up to 500 thousands, USSR, and China just sent only a few under 1000 to help North Vietnam, just because VNCH had no basics on war, or their name was Traitors, so as they can not win, victory never favor to the servants of the invaders. @soulkeeper2912 enough already! VNCH was in no spirit to fight among brothers from the north! The western imperialists were all to be blamed for the destruction the misery to million of VNese lives. I was in Saigon, today HCMC and my oldest brother was drafted into the VNCH army and he has always oppose the war and vows not to fire a shot against the NVA nor VC. He dies in 1973 in the western font during the conflict there. I don't hate the communist VN or blaming them for my brother death.
north VN has united south VN under the guidance, hope and dream of Vietnam's greatest and beloved leader "HO CHI MINH", whom has million of people all over the world are admiring and cheerish his ideology for the people of VN. I am inspired by the sacrifices of the north VNese people to bring respect and honor to the VNese ppl and Vietnam as a whole. There is no one perfect at all, thats why we were led to a dumb war, brothers killed brothers. My uncle is a soldier, and how sad when he died in 1973, we were fooled by the bad friends. They controlled us to let us destroy ourselves. We should have understood our south brothers, avoided the war, and side by side against the China-the doombringer to VN people. Trong chiến tranh xâm lược miền Nam, Việt cộng dùng chiêu bài "chống Mỹ cứu nước". nói chính quyền miền Nam là tay sai của Mỹ. Trong khi đó Việt cộng còn tệ hơn vì đánh thuê cho Xô-Tàu và tụi cộng sản quốc tế như Bắc Hàn, Cu-ba các nước cộng sản Đông Âu.

I love the end where they're marching in triumphant victory around the south Vietnamese presidential palace. So many Vietnamese died to see their country unified. Their death was not in vain. I salute these men in their struggle against a great super power who's arrogance and stubbornness lead to so many deaths. Too bad Ho Chi Minh never got to see his Vietnam unified.

My country has fight for independence too.Unfortunately we many times fought Russia ,the Poland's sworn enemy for ages.But I HATE USA and other western countries for using my country's soldiers to achieve victory in WW2. I think that our nations have very familiar things like courage and bravery.

PS.I was reading the biography of great vietnamese heroes:Ho Chi Minh and Vo Nguyen Giap.Ho Chi Minh had very interesting life.He travelled all over the world to know how to fight the west.
Yes Ho Chi Minh, he is still the most important human in Vietnam. Almost every house has a potrait picture of him.

True, the NVA which is now actuall VPA, are the true good guys in this world military wise, theve kicked the asses of countrys that were 4 times as big as theirs and still don't aggress twoards other countrys, like America used to be like in the 30's through 1945. @Resolutionx1 it wasn't excactly vietnam it was north vietnam and south at the time. The main reason was they feared that communism would take over the world and threaten poor allied countries to them- cambodia, south vietnam and thailand might get sucked into communism so they based soldiers there- more so south vietnam, the NLF- vietcong hated this and went to war with the us the NVA didn't join the war till 1968 during the tet offensive then america began bombing hanoi with B52 bombers

@soulkeeper2912 enough already! VNCH was in no spirit to fight among brothers from the north! The western imperialists were all to be blamed for the destruction the misery to million of VNese lives. I was in Saigon, today HCMC and my oldest brother was drafted into the VNCH army and he has always oppose the war and vows not to fire a shot against the NVA nor VC. He dies in 1973 in the western font during the conflict there. I don't hate the communist VN or blaming them for my brother death.

There is no one perfect at all, thats why we were led to a dumb war, brothers killed brothers. My uncle is a soldier, and how sad when he died in 1973, we were fooled by the bad friends. They controlled us to let us destroy ourselves. We should have understood our south brothers, avoided the war, and side by side against the China-the doombringer to VN people. I love the end where they're marching in triumphant victory around the south Vietnamese presidential palace. So many Vietnamese died to see their country unified. Their death was not in vain. I salute these men in their struggle against a great super power who's arrogance and stubbornness lead to so many deaths. Too bad Ho Chi Minh never got to see his Vietnam unified.

It is fascinating: the enemy (USA) was so brutal, the massacres of the US -military machine were so horrible and the victory of NVA/VC was so spectacular und great, but by all them: the music of this video is so gladfull, mellow and jovial.

My country has fight for independence too.Unfortunately we many times fought Russia ,the Poland's sworn enemy for ages.But I HATE USA and other western countries for using my country's soldiers to achieve victory in WW2. I think that our nations have very familiar things like courage and bravery.

PS.I was reading the biography of great vietnamese heroes:Ho Chi Minh and Vo Nguyen Giap.Ho Chi Minh had very interesting life.He travelled all over the world to know how to fight the west.

Yes Ho Chi Minh, he is still the most important human in Vietnam. Almost every house has a potrait picture of him.
Well Vietnam want to forget the war. Theres nobody who believes in american hollywood propaganda. we know the history correctly and learn it in school correctly. when i was small, my father taught me already about the great victories of Vietnam.

True, the NVA which is now actuall VPA, are the true good guys in this world military wise, theve kicked the asses of countrys that were 4 times as big as theirs and still don't aggress twoards other countrys, like America used to be like in the 30's through 1945.
