@beastlyLPs When you render it downgrades the quailty and compresses the file. It shouldn't make a substantial difference though. If it does you either have an editing/rendering setting messed up, or your doing something wrong with recording, i don't really know though.

@applehacks007 I don't think i fully know what you mean. If your talking about the settings though, you can save the preset s you can quickly access the rendering options and you don't have to set them each time you open vegas.

@AntareslX Oh well duh. VDub only allows certain video formats, .avi being one of them. Don't know why you would be recording in mpeg. I record in m-jpeg which the vid clearly depicts and it saves as .avi

@iiGJG I have an SD tv too. Dazzle has an option to record in 16:9 but only records in 4:3. I didn't notice this until after i made this video. I click 16:9 anyways because it seems like i get better quality.

@NukeShit4FunHD Are you using an s-video cable or composite? If you're using composite and the text is funky colors theres nothing you can do about it and thats why i recommend s-video. If your using s-video and its messed up it probably looks something like this (its a test vid someone sent me.) watch?v=olWCml8q2XM The same thing happened to me. I never used s-video until i started capturing so my cable just got thrown around and bent up. It preformed poorly so i got a new one.

@LetzPlayyy Not exactly sure. Looked at a few threads and they said it could be a RAM problem. If the video is too long it wont render.

Or it could just be you have some settings messed up. Double check to make sure you have them all correct.

I love how people keep uploading "Almost HD PVR" quality...it just isnt possible with the old capture cards...many things prevent this..though the biggest 2 are: Resolution. All you do is upscale interlaced footage...it never winds up being pretty.

2:Composite cables are abysmal...you need at least to use S-video...

Eh i just dont like this Almost HD PVR brand, it is guaranteed to get people who say it doesnt work for them xD

@BioW0lf13 make sure your dazzle is properly connected to your computer. Also if your xbox isnt on it wont appear.

Hit the windows start button right click my computer and hit properties. The go to the hardware tab>Device Manager then look for Universal Serial Bus (USB) and expand it. Then look to make sure your dazzle is connected. Mine comes up as USB Composite device. When i look at the properties of it it says its my DVC 100.

@killastudioz If it says "no video signal detected" make sure you have your cable all the way plugged in. If your using the S-video capture setting, make sure you have an S-video cable.

If it doesn't say "no video signal detected" or w/e dont worry, i have the same problem. Just record like you normally would. Your clips will record with video and sound.

@xD3LiRiuM does the quality go down when your previewing or after you save the video. If its just on the preview it might be because your preview setting are set to Lower quality. If it lowers after you save you might be compressing the video.follow what I said in the video to make sure it is not being compressed
