Bit harsh on the locals weren't we ;) Was it easy to ask people to speak to the camera and how did you know who you could ask and did you get any refusals? I'm reeeeeally looking forward to this series. It's no secret by now that I dream of visiting NYC.. I can hardly wait to do it.

ha ha well I wasn't so bold as to ask 'completely' random strangers, they were all people that one way or another (i.e. from the hostel or got chatting to in a bar) that I had struck up a proper conversation with. It was only after I'd been talking to them for a short while that I mention filming. One girl said no but all others were fine with it.

And believe me, by the end of the series you will feel like you have been there! ;)

yep it did occur to me when going that most of the people I have a dialogue with on YT live mid country or West Coast. Luckily IXGertXI made it down for the day for a mini-YT meet up but that is a story (or video) for another day.
