oh wow,,,,this is a crunchier, heavier version. Love the original but-after almost 30 years,,,,this is a treat. Love what Courtney can do with a cover song. Love the heaviness of it and her brutal attack with the last vocals there. Thank you for sharing this with us. She makes good use of womens songs. I'm not really familiar with Courtney Love as an artist, but this version sounds really cool. I think people are so negative because they are used to the highly fake and engineered sound of artists that are popular right now, whereas this sounds like the girl next door and her garage band, the way music should sound - real.

Celebrity Skin is one of, if not the best album of the '90's. Not a Courtney hater. "Malibu" is still one of my all time fav's, and the entire album "Live through this" I love top to bottom. But this just sucks, big time. Very interesting, but very bad. Wish MTV would release "Hole Unplugged", one of the best episodes ever. Thanks for posting the video (audio).

@AngelVomit26 Live and learn. :) I am just not happy with the way CL covered the song. It's a deep, emotional song about a difficult subject - domestic violence. Aimee sang it from the heart, for her it was a true story. I just think that CL trivialized it. Throwing "bitch!" into songs and not caring about being in tune or remembering lyrics has its place, but not in this song.

I doubt she has even given the lyrics much thought. At her concerts, she gets the whole audience to yell "bitch" for no apparent reason. If the song meant anything to her, she would have put some effort into performing it instead of staggering out onto the stage and vomiting out mostly-forgotten lyrics.
