  • Although there are many variations in the recipe to cook lechon, you cannot get a more traditional, raw, and authentic recipe than this. Good job. I like to slice up my pernil then marinate it. Just a lil variation. Could you post a video on how to make the skin nicce and crispy?

  • Thank you for the post. I was beginning to think no on You-tube knew how to do it right. This is how you do it folks; the genuine article, like Momma makes. And DO get the sour Seville orange juice...it really does make all the difference. You can find it bottled in any Cuban and most International markets.

    Also, If you want to make a true Cuban Sandwich, and you Know you do lol. This preparation for the pork is the key to doing it right. Enjoy!

  • @fitcoach2007 A pleasure, and you helped me out ;) I sent this link to a friend in Minesotta who ask me for the Recipe for proper Cuban pork and Sandwiches, and I make it the same way you do...Old School and traditional. I do cook mine longer and at lower temp...275-300 for 3-4 hrs, but thats a small thing. The smell from the kitchen with this in the Oven is heaven to me. I also told her how to make Fried Plantains, Spicy Rice, Fry bread and Empanadillas. lol
