@CANTIGATES Hey man - you (almost) brought the man down to your level by associating him with sectarian nonsense. Do you really think Frankie would like to be remembered as just a football fan?
I have followed Frankie from the middle 70s as I used to work with his now ex brother in law, and he was brilliant live, the concert in Glasgow city halls in 1978 was great with his best pal the big yin (Billy Connolly) in attendance. He fell ill in 1994 and was in a coma but he managed to battle back but can no longer perform his skills. He was always at war with his record company over musical differences and this contributed to less exposure, He was better thought of in USA than UK
Im from Glasgow, I love Frankie because he sang blues soul and brought it to my city, and he was awesome, greatest tradition of spectacular failure, total legend, total human....now we have x factor
Creedona - Your devotion to Frankie is admirable and deserved . We are grateful and blessed by it . One of the great blue eyed soul singers of our time . I suggest fans of Frankie check out Eddie Hinton - there is no real good footage of him on You Tube but his CD's are worth pursuing . He is one of the true originals . A contemporary of Otis Redding and wrote for Otis as well .
Great song & performance! Love this version - he always sings from the heart. I saw him live in early 70's - unforgetable performer! Hope you're ok Frankie?
I'm sooooooo jealous you got to see this guy. My head must have been some where else and I missed out on his music then. Positively can't get enough of him now, thanks to you tube I'm seeing him "doing his thing"
Remember this well. "Gastank" with Tony Ashton and Rick Wakeman. This was round about the time my parents were runnin a pub in Hampstead, and Frankie and Tony were regulars. Frankie got up and sang this wiyh my ol man one night. Great guy, and best singer/songwriter ever
Who is this one tone deaf person????

Frankie's always been one of the very best!!!!!! Ain't no doubt!!!!!
Unfortunately he had a stroke quite some years ago now and he has since not been able to play or sing again!!!
Only thing left is his legacy! Check it out!
So many good songs and music.
Hats off Frankie,
