I don't understand what they are doing. It really doesn't seem like what they do on the drum things has any effect on the music, sometimes I hear beats when they don't hit them and sometimes there aren't any beats when they do hit them.

@BigMexico993 The drums are supplementation. There is music already playing, and the instruments they're using add extra depth to the song. Gives it a bit more OOMPH. ;)
