  • what people dont realize is that pullups will increase you lat pulldown strength tremendously, but heavy lat pulldowns wont improve you pullup ability much at all. Ive met many body builders who could do some impressive lat pulldowns but couldnt for the life of them do more than 5-6 pullups.

    Pullups build functional strength, where as lat pulldowns build good strength for lat pulldowns, but not much else. Thats why gymnasts are pound some of the strongest athletes on the planet.

  • @chinbufa Its in the technique. You need the swing forward then back into the high speed chin up. If you try and do these slow with no momentum, its nigh on impossible.

    No I do not agree because its not true. Just because you're lighter doesn't mean you have the strength to pull yourself up. Its weight to strength ratio.

    In this video, guys are seen doing 1 armed pull ups, press ups (which are extremely difficult), and they do them for multiple reps. Thats not easy, and I'd like to see you attempt it and do it as easily as these guys.

    By your logic, i could lose 40 pounds and be able to do this shit, just because i would weight fuck all

    Please, are you dumb? Of course, if you kept your current strength yes. I can do twenty dips easy, if I lost 40lbs, I could do 40 easily. Its a bodyweight exercise - its difficulty is SOLELY down to your bodyweight.

    All of your points are subjective. Just because your strong enough to do them doesn't mean they're easy. Like I said Strength : weight ratio. Go do a one armed pull up. What a synch. One armed pull ups aren't a synch. Muscle ups aren't a synch. Period.

The only thing that makes a dumbell curl hard to anyone, is if it weighs more than they can lift - the only thing that makes a muscle up hard, is if you weight more than you lift ......so, make the weight lighter, task is easier.   • @izEnii No, flip it the other way round - how hard it is to lift depends on how heavy it is....I don't have to be defined as 'strong' to lift an average weight, but its easier for me to lift a light weight.

    You keep saying this guy is strong???? Where is your basis for this, we can see he is small and light, and his lats arent very big. Go look at a guy that does real heavy lat rows, and his lats are massive - why....because the weight is HEAVY.

    muscle ups aren't necessarily hard if you weigh a lot. again, a subjective point. muscle ups aren't necessarily easy if you weigh a small amount either. another subjective point. its entirely possible to weigh a lot and find muscle ups to be easy. we are not all of the same genetic make up.

  • @ytcf71 Were talking about body muscle and, being fit. If your nautrually 6foot 6 weigh 250+ pounds you should have more muscle according to your body. If I can do 10 pull-ups and, I weigh 50 pounds less than you, you can do only one, then I am more fit than you END OF STORY. To do what this guy does you have to work out. Either way skinny fat, doesn't matter you can't do this shit whithout a lot of practice (possibly intellegence).

    Face it, if we took a 5.5ft guy who had never trained, and a 6ft 6 guy that had never trained....got them to do 6 months of tricep and bicep exercises in equal measure, to the same strength - and then asked them to try muscle ups......which one do you think is going to find it easier?

If me and, you worked out EXACTLY the same for two months (assuming that prior we had a symetrical BMI) we each could do the same amount of pull ups, push ups etcc... It's not even biology it's logic and, physics...
