#4: While I don't really believe man came from apes, I DO believe in biological change by way of natural selection, i.e. "micro-evolution". That being said, I feel Darwin should be in the top 10 because of his work and contribution to science. A+

Shakespeare wrote Shakespeare and Robin Williams is talking rubbish again. Remember what has just gone before about Einstein and Leonardo De Vinci - were they of nobel birth or highly educated? NO! The idea that Shakespeare was not Shakespeare only started in Victorian England as we had a strong class system and the ruling classes wanted to claim him for their own.

Nice whitewashing of his theory. How about talking about his clearly racist assertions? Darwin is one of the reasons people still to this day refer to black people as monkeys. "Hey chimps are brown, you're brown you must be a talking chimp. I'm white I'm evolved woopididoo!!!!" I like how when white people feel guilty they tell us get over it. Darwin? Well, guess that makes sense. "Borrow" the words of your grandfather (Erasmus) and an unknown creationist naturalist (Blythe) and repackage the idea, and... viola: Victorian success.
