the reason you guys can't find anything is because robot repair isn't a band or something, they make music specifically for advertisements. go to the robot repair site and hit their demos they got hundreds of things like this up for download. Unfortunately, Lights Go On was never made into a track on their site, and this commercial is the only place you can hear it

It was just written for the commercial. If we want to get a full version of the song, we have to let Robot Repair know, and they said if they get enough interest they will make a full version.

Have you tried sending a e-mail directly to the xbox division of microsoft? It's possible that it was a small piece composed specifically for that commercial. I'm hoping that's not the case.

I found the song "Milk Floats" by "Woodcraft Folk". It is unfortunately NOT the song.

Havent been able to find "Robot Repair" "Lights Go On"...anyone know if that's definitely it?

And I have been trying forever to figure it out as well. I checked their website and it's not posted or mentioned, searching the artists nets a slightly extended version of the commercial with a little bit more of the tune. I really hope they release this soon. Be it a 30 second clip or maybe a full on song. We can only hope!

Also, hellodon, if you got the track by Woodcraft Folk, does it sound at all similar? The stuff I have heard didn't sound the same, but I haven't heard that song.

The song is called "Lights Go On" by robot repair. There is a site called adtunes. Go there and search the forums under video game ads, there is a post by the company explaining the song and artist. If they get enough interest, they will make a full version of the song available, so go tell them you want it!

I really want to say it sounds like this band Woodcraft folk, A friend of mine swears that it's the song milk floats, but I can't really find an mp3 for download anywhere. I'm pretty confident on this just judging from their other songs, but check it out and let me know.

i know it's slightly different but it reminds me a lot of no surprises by radiohead. i would never expect a radiohead song in a commercial but their song creep was on the first rock band so....maybe?
