@Izumka ... NOooo.... I feel bad for them too! I mean, I guess there's a need to get involved to some extent, and the ppl do seem to be as gentle as possible with them at least. But ...wow... those poor bears must be TERRIFIED to be rendered completely helpless & paralyzed, while being fully conscious & aware of everything happening to them! It must be the equivalent to a human being abducted & manhandled by aliens, then being returned home...requiring therapy for the rest of their life! Awww..

@hetfieldshoney They actually are not conscious. The drugs used on bears are called dissociative anesthetics. The bears lose their blink reflex so they get eye drops, but they are not aware of their surroundings.
