  • Well, there is a nicer piano accompaniment I just listened to here, but no vocals! So then I found this. What a shock! If you are doing this for an Entrance or Sending Forth the tempo is OK, but for Gifts or Communion--way too fast!

  • hi mutt! i actually prefer it with a slower tempo and never heard it this fast until going to my current church. i may have both versions posted but not sure. i assure u that at this tempo it was either an opening or recessional song.

  • this song is very nice with its lyrics and its melody... and i cant find this song until i heard this... thanks for posting this but the song should be longer...

  • "Rickmystic"... he can't just magically change the angle that this video was shot - no matter how long time elapses from your initial comment... As for newer videos, the reason has been explained...This is during Mass; its designed not be distracting. Think of it as just an audio recorder without a picture, its really not that difficult to see why he keeps it where it is, not to mention people have already explained it on this video's page!

  • Thanks for uploading this. I can't find this version of Servant Song anywhere. I guess I'll have to wait till the next time it's played at Mass!

  • A year on from when I first commented and we're still being shown the ceiling and not the singers. I scratch my head, I shake my head - I give up!!!

  • i never heard this song played upbeat until i went to college and they played it like this. i like either way... fast or slow. neways, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.

  • we are not exclusive (if u'r ever in Irvine, CA, stop by). we just ask that anyone who joins the choir does so to do it for His greater glory... and if you happen to be hawt (just coincidence that all of us are) then so be it.

  • Six months on since I asked the question and still no explanation for why the camera is pointed at the ceiling. This happens in many videos from this crowd. Beggars belief really. All I know is that they're not nude or ugly - or so says quenckyourkirst.

Also, whats a kirst and how do you quench one!

If I were them I'd go buy a tripod and shoot this footage over again

  • so,

the reasons it's pointing up to the ceiling is because he has to be discreet in starting the camera, since he's playing piano. he's not gonna disrupt mass just to get a good shot.

and kirst, short for kirsten. sounds like thirst... play on words.

  • Why was the camera pointed at the ceiling (i'm guessing its the ceiling. are the singers grotesquely ugly or performing in the nude or something. A shame too the piano overpowers the vocals.

I see you have other videos of the ceiling. Must be a new art movement

  • it's bc the piano player (the one who's you tube it is) records it right before he starts playing. if he puts it on the piano, then the piano is too loud.

and no, we're actually a very good looking choir, with our clothes on.

  • actually we are a very hawt choir! add a lil anna and we would be spicy hawt!!!

  • There is a longing, the Servant song, The Cry of the Poor, and many others I have are favorites..I cannot name them all!

  • this song has always been a favorite of mine.
