thats just basic cop on in the forwards.jesus there's nothing overly scientific about it.its intelligent foward movement.giving the man in possession an option.the tipp and kilkenny teams of 20 years ago were capable of this stuff.jesus to call it tactics is ridiculous.
@Forthereckoning What do you think tactics are? They are principles and patterns that teams adhere to to gain an advantage. That's the same in any sport. This video is obviously an example of good movement and positioning that any team could copy. Whether you want to call it tactics or not is irrelevant.
@MrHennessy30 Look,I'm from Tipp and I know exactly how they hurl.I just find it extremely annoying when people over-complicate the sport.People love to say stuff like "oh make sure and retain possession of the ball, don't hit it away aimlessly, blah blah blah".Some people love to think that all pre-2000 hurling was complete barbarianism.if you look back along at some of our fine hurlers-enlish,fox and loads from other counties like john troy, pilkington, eddie keher, pat delaney etc you'll see that
@MrHennessy30 skill was always there.the playing conditions and a lot of other factors have improved.in some ways the sport is ruined with bullshit as is football.instinct is almost banned at this stage.i know exactly what you've demonstrated in your video and your dead right i just hate the nonsense that has crept into our game.too many lads building careers out of a complicated hurling system and its the very same with northern-brand football.it has to stop.i know all about from my own club.
