I myself am also native american and I went to see the Carlisle Indian School. Lets just say its a constant reminder of what was done to our people. I seen by a large fence a small grave with tombstones saying they were little children from all over. Arizona, Alaska, the Cherokee, Sioux etc....I just cried to know they were treated like this. I cant put into words how this video makes me feel. Just sad :(

I'm a European mutt (German/Swedish/Norwegian/Polish/etc), but my great-grandmother 6x back was Anishinabe (Ojibwe), the only heritage I am really proud of. I was raised in an isolationist R. Some of my ancestors were Native American (Cherokee). I got a chance to spend time with my Great Grandmother (who was Native American) in her last year of life. She was a very wise and strong spirited woman. I am glad so many Native Americans are telling their stories because the TRUTH needs to be known.

I have no where else to turn. I had a dream, with in that dream was a lake of water. On the edge of the water was a house. I was standing on the water with a companion I did not know next to me. I said the reason why the house will flood is because it is so close to the lake. My companion told me I was wrong this is no lake and I looked and found it was a river. I am both white and native american.My father looked white with dark hair but he had light skin and blue eyes, so my grandparents sent him to school as white, he was part white,but also native american. He was not allowed to say anything about it.I did not even know until i was about 6 years old because of my grandmother who told me.My dad does not talk about it today, he will not even talk about his grandmother. I myself am also native american and I went to see the Carlisle Indian School. Lets just say its a constant reminder of what was done to our people. I seen by a large fence a small grave with tombstones saying they were little children from all over. Arizona, Alaska, the Cherokee, Sioux etc....I just cried to know they were treated like this. I cant put into words how this video makes me feel. Just sad :(
