Don't bring up that coaster for PC called "NASCAR Sim Racing" because it was an arcadey steaming pile of crap.The last "sim racing" title that carried the NASCAR logo was NASCAR Racing 2003 Season by Papyrus, now iRacing has the rights and have produced a great title (a bit expensive, but good). The only thing I didn't like about NASCAR 09 was they didn't use the different car makes, everything was pretty decent. They could have made a little bit more realistic by making the driver pit in his or her car in the pit boxes. As for online racing, besides the glitches every now and then, the ranked races are as real as you can get without the "jerkoffs" crashing into you on purpose and running backwards on the track like the non-ranked races.

not everybody likes the complex realism games. there are those gamers who may be new to nascar who might not know how to handle a car like that. some gamers are the type who just wanna pick up a controller for 10 minutes and do a quick easy race. I am not like that for sure, and I love the sim games, but it is fun to mess around with my cousin on NASCAR 06 every now and then, and younger kids enjoy the EA games as well as people new to NASCAR.

Sony bought the rights to Nascar 2010. They're thinking of tacking it on with GT5 so you would have to buy that to play nascar. Only problem is that gt5 is only for ps3, so wtf am i supposed to do, i have 360, and i'm sure not buying a ps3.

People dont like EA NASCAR games because they cater to the arcade fan of just turning on the game and racing. Some folks like the real hands on complete sim. Thank god NASCAR dropped EA. I mean Madden football doesnt come out in time for the super bowl does it? No. But EA's NASCAR games came out near the end of the racing season in October. NRS2003 is the best ever made. Although EA's PC sim version is real good if you download all the addons we have out there.

Polyphony Digital will do a far better job than EA ever did with NASCAR. Even if it is a part of a larger game. But that has its perks...you will probably be able to take stock cars to tracks where they would not normally race, like Le Mans, and take non-NASCAR cars to NASCAR tracks, like Watkins Glen, Daytona, etc. I can't wait to blow away Honda Civics with a 750hp stock car!

Well, Gran Turismo is made by Sony themselves, one of their development studios. So the only way to enjoy your fix for NASCAR is to play the old games or Buy Gran Turismo 5 when it comes out. They bought the license to NASCAR, it has been officially announced already, so all the cars WILL be in the game. They also bought the licenses of WRC and Indy Racing (ie 500, etc.). In other words, GT5 is going to be THE Racing game to get, more so than Forza!
