  • يابن المتناكة فضحتنا

  • What tension is that guy talking about, the problem was a government that did everything to steal and squander the country's wealth, solution is to start building infrastructure, Road markings, zero tolerance, fines and penalty system and proper driving licensing test system. Stop corruption and life will be easy, this is what Islam advocates for anyway.

  • we r not ignoring the ambulence man.. there's just now way we can make it pass.. obviously..

  • @2oura Of course they are ignoring the Ambulance, As soon as you hear a siren you should start to move over so it can pass, doesn't matter if it is still 20 cars behind you. Don't wait until it is right behind you or there will be no where to go to let it pass. It works almost every where else in the world.

  • Thought the U.S. gov't was providing millions to fix this!... guess that fell in their pockets by Accident!

  • notorious traffic fe3lan

    sabarana ya rab

  • one thing i dislike about Egypt is the driving. serious sometimes i feel like killing the drivers it drives me that mad ahhhhhh

  • in the NEW Egypt .. i think Egyptians will work hard not to see this Footage again!

  • haha the ambulence on the end its normal to don let them cross cause they just have the siren on everytime to be fast i have in egypt my own siren and everybody ignore them

  • @Samir2705 every second car seem to have a siren in Cairo, that probably why no one takes any notice of them any more.

  • @Dolmtot yh i know but it still funny

  • @OlivePizzaMODZ Sorry, I thought you were serious, after living in Cairo for more then 10 years I would say every for every 100K's not 100,000. Ever where you look, some one is almost having an accident.

  • this is my country

  • what's with all the Egyptians hating on the video ,we all know traffic in Egypt is the worst and its a huge problem , so when are we gonna stop complaining and do something about it !!!!!!!

  • @mohamedvanquish I love how people just make excuses like this, I'm egyptian and I am appalled. This video is fair, the policeman regardless of his "branch" SHOULD have done something about it. It's a danger to lives so it's his job.

  • now listen this is our city and we like it this way did any one come 2 ur country and said any thing about ur traffic or ur police and how about the movies in america the fast and the furious how was that people are racing and when they finish the cops will come and dont catch many

  • egyptian people are all the time under tension and this may create a problem in all aspects of their life , one of this aspects is driving they are under tension so they are dis polite. DOESNT MAKE SENSE LOL!!

  • @mohamedvanquish As if someone stalks him and stops him and gives him any penalty or any fine!

  • Last month when my sisters were getting their drivers licence the examiner told them before the exam "Give me a 100 Egyptian pounds and I'll let you pass the exam, If you don't I'll fail you."

  • Zero tolerance is the solution

  • the problem is in Egyptian ppl psychology they no more care not in Egypt coz Egypt before like 40 or 50 years ago was awesome and really beautiful and clean

i hope Egyptians stop yawning and start wakin the hell up of the freakn everlasting coma :@

  • @Nado626 Well I was in Egypt 30 years ago and it wasn't awesome, beautiful or clean.

  • @Caracalla23

well i dont really care about wt u think ..Egypt is beautiful its ppl who disfugure it and i think if u went back more than 30 years ago ull find how Egypt was awesome beautiful and clean!!

  • Egypt is such a beautiful country with people who dont appreciate it ..

they throw rubbish in streets..disfigure monuments and write in almost all architectures!! no maintainance or protection in any of the historical heritage!!

they dont know anything about environment, couple days ago i saw a man burning rubbish in street with a huge smoke over !! shame on that .. they dont even care about the 60 milion$ poppy flowers of Van Gogh they just left it to b stolen

    VIVA L'Egypt

    "egyptian"

  • I hope this can make our gay government wake up and start actually doing some work for once. Issuing licenses to people even after they failed their driving test, just because the examiner or someone under him got paid to do the fake paper work is hilarious!!

Egyptians shouldn't take these issues as insults, because every country has it own problems and i think these videos are enlightening and should be taken seriously by our government to change the way how we live our life over all

  • This pretty much explains how things function over here in Egypt. But not explaining how poorly the roads are planned or how messed up the asphalt they use.

Last week i was in my friends car, it was totaled because we hit a pothole followed by sand, making us lose control over the car. Police came an hour later because we didn't damage any property.

  • @RobbieWright That's typical of them!

  • Such an interesting video for even Egyptians, 1 and a half year later Mr. Wright, and still Egypt is the same :)

  • yadi el faday7 :-S

  • @powerpassion0101 I agree with you :S

  • man

    i am egyptian

    and i feel Insulting

you know ........... just don;t foucs on the bad points

not all the people here is that bad in driving i think that you go to ring road ( al dairey ) alooooooooooooot

  • EGYPT is .... ETFUDU7T !!! :S:S

  • @Foryousef i agree with you , i've been in US and Some places around Europe , i love how people respect traffic and rules , and we don't in egypt ,, wallahy yesterday i was in my way to Nubaria from Alexandria on the agriculture road , over 20 car accidents ,, and two happen live ,, so many drive while they sleep , no traffic signals , no good asfalt , no one check his car or tyres ,, nothing , just pray before you drive

i've said dangerious for not egyptians cause i work with them

  • i'm egyptian and let me tell you something ,, driving here is dangerious for any one not egyptian ,,

if you drive by rules , you can get accidents by silly young drivers , not smart one ,, i've seen also on youtube many accidents all over Europe and US ,, can't happen here , it's good and bad everywhere but you know what's wrote with your country before look in mine ,,

The best i can tell you , if any accident happen ,, everyone run to help you , i mean it , everyone ,,, NO Hit & Run

  • @brettyfang Let me tell you something, driving in Egypt is dangerous for everyone, not just non Egyptians, in fact non-Egyptians are more likely to have better skills as the Egyptian driving test is the easiest in the world. I know, I have done it and I did not have to drive more then 3 meters to pass. It is true ,accidents happen every where but not many counties have the same sort of numbers as Egypt, Egypt is one of the most dangerous places in the world to be on the road.that is a fact .

  • @brettyfang And as far as NO Hit and Run, Just not true, I am not Egyption but I have been living and driving my self in Cairo for the past 12 years and I know the unwritten rule, and I have been told this many times, even from police is that if you come across an accident, do not stop, do not help, do not take people to hospital as the police will be looking for some one to blame and most time that will be the person who stopped to help. I

  • most of the Egyptian drivers are stupid, and they don't obey the law, and they are proud of what they do!

Driving in Egypt make me crazy and out of control because of others stupid driving actions!

Thank You sir for covering that! Respect!

  • this looks like fun, you need a bit of danger in your life

  • Man !!!! What is the point of this Report !!!!!!! Warning for the Touristes ?

  • paying money as a bribe for a police men or a solider will let u hide from the law

paying money for a police officer = GET FUCKED

  • THIS VIDEO IS AMAZIIIIIIING .. TRUE :D

egyptians drivers need to be shot right in the head or burned aliive :D hehehehe

anyway IAM PROUD TO BE ONE OF THEM loooooooool

  • To be honest, it happens in every country, even here in Canada each day theres a car crash....

  • this happens in some places only not in all of egypt ..almost cairo and alex is so crowded but there is a lot of places better than these two cities to live..like me I live in 10th of ramdan city..its so calm and cool

  • true

  • My mom said the traffic in Cairo was horriable.

  • i was there too and can´t say anything other :)

  • And they should be proud, why not?

Mr.Wirght I am a huge fan, I see you on BBC all the time, do you have any toher reports planned for Egypt??

  • Yer, we are working on some more stuff, but I'm not allowed to say until they go to air. some-one might steal our story and then we won't be able to do them.

  • this shows that they see themselves above the law wich means on thing CORROPTION

  • and btw the police are saying bullshit true story here ( my father parked in a no parking area so they put this thing on the wheels that we cant with dont know the name so he asks a police man standing near by how can i get it off he says the man with keys is comming to unlock this thing of the car behind you wait after a while he came and unlocked our car and the one behind us guess who it was a higher ranking police man )

  • WTF in EGypt people care about the ambulance and i see it daily people opening the way for it but here it was a traffic jam they cant fly u know & somtimes like this cause the ambulance driver just sound the siren to get the police to open the road he is not going to save some one belive me

  • I only see people make the smallest of effort to get out of the way of an ambulance in Egypt. Ambulances are not of the same stranded you will find in Europe, they are little more then just transport so getting to the Hospital quick is even more important. Some of the reasons people don't move for Ambulances is one you said, drivers abuse the siren and use it for no reason, also many cars that shouldn't have sirens do put them in and use them illegally, The boy who cried "wolf".

  • Also there is almost no driver education in Egypt so many drivers just don't know they should get out of the way.

  • As much as i do agree that their is no driver education in Egypt, but recently ambulances have been respected on Egyptian roads more than in the past. And i will have to disagree when you say the ambulances in Egypt are not up to standard, the Egyptian Governemnt has acquired 1300 New Volkswagen T5 Ambulances this summer, with the most advanced medical technology, as well as revamping ER rooms throughout the country.

  • Do you know if the level of training for the medics has improved too? I ask because I was witness to an incident last year where a child was electrocuted due to bad wiring in a hotel garden, even after the ambulance got there it was up to tourists to give him first aid because the medics just wanted to put him in the ambulance and go. they even had to send some one off to look for a spanner because the tap on there oxygen bottle was missing.

  • When thhey bought the new ambulances, they also changed or retrained the staff, so that they meet international standards. Aand trust me i have good scources.

  • Have a read of the cover story in "Egypt Today", it can also be found on line. According to that, the ambulance drivers only had very short training and don't know how to use the new equipment in the new ambulances, They are described as "a taxi with a stretcher and permission to use a siren.

  • I read that on the first day it was published lol, but my source is from the Ministry of Health my friend, :D, i got some connections.

  • What else would you expect the Ministry of Health say? Now they got the new kit, they now need to do some serous training and teach them how to use it, other wise it will be a huge wast of money, and ambulances. Might as well have a a taxi with a stretcher and permission to use a siren.

  • Thats wat I already mentioned, the re-training is occuring as we speak :) They sacked most of the old ambulance crews, and re-hired new ones..

  • Egypt had one of the highest death rates in car accidents in the world, with 156.3 deaths for every 100,000 vehicles. To compare, Switzerland had 8.7 deaths and the US 18.9 deaths. Egypt even beat India, which had 125.7 deaths per 100,000 vehicles.

  • @Dolmtot It's not deaths for 100,000 vehicles it's for every 100,000 kilometers driven.

  • @thartala2 I have checked again, my fingers are right, 156.3 deaths per year per 1000,000 registered vehicles, and that number only includes people who are pronounced dead at the sight, those who die in hospital or on the way to hospital are not included in that number.

  • Damn...this is just another side effect of what happens when you combine the Islamic fundamentalist psyche withe Western psyche, complete and utter idiocy.

  • I dont know why people always interfere "Islam" in everything that goes wrong. look I am Egyptian and and i have to tell u that most of the problems in egypt is because of the stupid government. its their fault to give unqualified drivers a license to drive, also they dont monitor the traffic at all as u saw. And the squad cars they are only in some roads the road in the video is Mehwar road and the squad cars dont stop anybody they r just showing that in the video. The government doesnt care...

  • @esso0o beside we have a very high population density "ranked among world" with lots of cars which have resulted in an incompetent roads and traffic jams !

  • @esso0o i am egyptian too and the stupid government is an islamic government with islamic rules

  • irrelevant comment

    @MrGermancarlover

  • I can understand that a semi-developing country would have some issues, but this is just stupid. Something needs to be done.
