Well no, he's quite right in pronouncing it "rev", as it is in Munster.
Pronouncing "raibh" as "rev" is preferable for learners since the pronunciation "row" would suggest the spelling "rabha".

in the past tense should be pronounced "row"
but great work on your past tense irregular verbs :D
