@raidergus hey, whats that there Michelin Stars thing your a talking about? it gots something to do with them there tires? whats tires gotta do with cooking? I see some dudes sure stick up for him. Ifn he is such a great cook why doesnt he do it like he does in his place of business? My wife cooks better than he does, she uses stocks made from real bones. Cooks all the meat we shoot around here, deer, elk, bear, moose. But she aint got no tire awards.
@SuperOlds88 Hey olds he works for Knorr and its obvious for some of us (looking at others in the room while olds stares into space picking his nose)!!. He is a good chef and a very successful one at that, much better than most of us. I'm sure your wife is a good cook, but before you comment educate yourself on the subject, seriously man.
@raidergus Ok, I got it now. He gets free tires for his rig ifn he does these here commercials? I suppose he needs to get free tires because that there stuff he is a cooking up sure wouldnt sell around here. I wonder ifn he does any hunting? He looks like one of them there foreign dudes who shoots animals on farms, them there animals is more tame then my dog, plus they wear suits and ties when they go a hunting. Now what kind of dude wears that when he is squirrel hunting?
@NeverenCH If she uses classical techniques, great ingredients, uses good craftmanship, is artistic, yeah she cooks at least as good as White. Those stars probably are not earned from only the cuisine, probably service, atmosphere, etc all that go along with making a great experience are involved. Just because the food isnt cooked in a professional kitchen doesnt mean it cant be as good. She might not be able to run a brigade, or she might, but she cooks as good for sure.
Actually, Michelin stars are awarded on the food only. Service, atmosphere, plates, silverware do not figure into it. I'm not saying she doesn't cook, but I can guarantee she doesn't cook nearly as well as any stared chef or Marco for that matter.
@phroney I tell you what, she cooks a mean Vienna Sausage Casserole that I bet that there Marco couldnt even get close to reproducing. She browns up a whole bunch of bacon and adds mustard greens and cooks em down real good. Then she add some potaters and onions. The Vienna sausages are sliced up and added with a couple of cans of that cream o mushroom soup. then she tops it with grits, kinda like a shepherder pie. We eat it with lots of gravy when it comes out of the oven.
@SuperOlds88 do you really think he uses stock pots when he is cooking in restaurants? these videos are for people who are too busy to make their own stocks. White also does hunting... if you go few videos back on his venison video, he says he did some hunting too. Btw, your tire joke is very ignorant and not funny. when you talk about ur wife's casserole, it would most likely be the case that she has practiced all through her life and did it a bunch of times to master the technique.
@sniPING065 yeah he hunts, he hunts on game farms, kinda like driving out into your pasture and shooting your cow, but thats all they got over there in jolly old England. And like I said before if a person uses all the same classical techniques as White does, they can cook every bit as good, dont need a restaurant to cook properly.
@SuperOlds88 as a matter of fact, white enjoys more of a home-style dishes, where no-one cares about how it is plated up. nothing fancy required, but tastes nearly as good as in restaurants :D
@8BitAvatar I seem to have touched a nerve with you there Escoffier. Do you think White is putting these videos up? Hardly. I would say probably no great chef/cook has put a video up on Youtube. So keep your own mouth shut shit monkey. Your not even as sharp as the steel
@kissemurra12 you obviously know nothing about the culinary world......anyone chef who has earned three michelin stars is a legend.....this guy earned his at a young age...... may I ask you something? how many michelin stars do you possess?? oh wait...haha i know the answer and it's a big fat O
@bobolink222 you obviously lack in both knowledge in the cooking world and know that you dont use culinary unless you try to make up for something in the cooking world;) any chef that serves a michelin, a company that MAKES CAR TIRES earns as much respect as an immigrant raping a 5 year old;) so if he gets it at a young age just proves how USELESS it is, but then again i guess both you and him are great at sucking up to reviewers and sucking dick so you can relate ;)-so pierre white is as usele-
well if you want to try recipes that take several hours of preparation to make with equipment your domestic kitchen doesn't have heston blumenthal might be more up your alley. Marco has even said in an interview that he doesn't do videos of haute cuisine because there'd be no point. People can't do it at home so they won't be learning anything
@InnuendoXP several hours?HAHA oh god.No wonder you fail.Unless you really are unskilled,it wont take hours especially with easy to get equipment(unless you fail with even THOSE) so yes,if you cant do yours at home, then innuendoxp really is bad not only at haute cuisine, but he isnt good at "normal" cuisine aswell^^
everyone else can do it,so can pierre white,at least if he skilled enough to do it.But since this video proves he cant do luxury food and instead does common dishes, he is a bad chef
Everyone can do it, but if you live in a home where you have to share the home with people who can't organise a kitchen for shit and you're constantly having to work around other peoples crap - 'the real world (for non-bachelors)' - then it'll take time sorting room in the fridge, clearing benches. Unless you have your own private kitchen or live in Switzerland then yes, it will take far longer than in a commercial kitchen which is properly set up ALL THE TIME.
"normal" cuisine, like a stuffed seared chicken breast on a bed of lentils or spinach and pine nuts with a tomato vinaigrette or some crap, sweet puff pastry shape containing some vanilla bavarois and decorative fruit.etc is very achievable in a home, is made in just about any restaurant, and is not what got Marco Pierre White his Michelin stars.
In any case, obvious troll is obvious, but I wrote this just in case you genuinely are a complete moron.
@InnuendoXP in other words, it means he cant do something that other people can do in their own homes aswell^^ that INCLUDES luxury food that is served in high class restaurants.
that just means he got his stars from a CAR TIRE REVIEWRS (figures) from either sucking dick or being bad. just like you^^ obvious troll is obvious since you contradicted yourself, if he was a good chef he could easely do his luxury food here. you know...just like people who usually do normal cuisine do^^
@kissemurra12 Also, the Michelin Guide, Egon Ronay, and the Gault Millau (which is a legendary guide even amongst chefs of old in France) are car tire reviewers? Lolk. Now you're just being silly. I'm starting to question whether or not you actually researched him when he was at the height of his power. Even Gordon Ramsay himself still can't get three stars and 5 knives and forks from the Michelin guide all at once up to this day.
@kissemurra12 Furthermore, YOUR version of luxury food isn't probably as luxurious as you make it out to be. It's probably just middle-class-high type of food, you know, for people that can buy organic regularly. That's not all too luxurious. Luxury would be Tagliatelle of Oysters with Caviar, Pied De Cochon, Noisettes of Lamb en Crepinette, all of which contain ingredients that are WAY too expensive for commonfolk. Funnily enough, these are all Marco's dishes.
@kissemurra12 Then there's the Mille Feuille of Sweetbreads, Roasting 36 chickens just for their juice and discarding all the overcooked meat so he'd have a gravy of pure chicken juice for each portion, giving you roughly a whole chicken's worth of natural jus instead of a full bodied sauce or gravy, as well as Pigeon En Crute De Sel which gets carved TABLESIDE. If any of these aren't luxurious then luxury itself must be a myth.
@kissemurra12 The point of these videos is to appeal to the more underprivileged and less skilled crowed. The people who don't have the time or technical ability to make "luxury" food. Marco is definitely not a bad chef since up until this day, no one in Britain has ever achieved the same awards that he got for The Oak Room back when he was still a chef.
Just because he's doing something else not typically "cheffy" doesn't make him a bad one. He's an entrepreneur now, not a chef.
OK im sick and tired of saying things like "marco is a cheat because he uses the stock pot". Any one who's worked in a kitchen knows that making a white stock or a brown stock takes time, money and carefull attention. NOW to the avereage home cook, that can become a major chore. Using stock pot cant come anywere close to a perfectly made brown stock ( simmering for 6-8 hours depending on the stock being made).....the knoor stock pots isnt perfect but its ideal for ahome cook.
@sebyjoseph01 These are good videos, and I'm with you on the merits of shop-brought stock, but I was a little alarmed when he added the "Aromat" (which is basically salt and MSG) to the cooked pasta.
Do you have even the slightest idea what's in this stock pots?
People call Marco a sellout not because he's pitching for a pre-made ingredient, we call him a sell out because not only is he pitching a pre-made ingredient, but he's pitching one that's fucking awful tasting and has more chemicals in it than it does anything else. It has nothing to do with convenience over culinary method, and everything to do with selling worthless, tasteless chemical shit, saying its just as good
@Kirzen first of mate, havnt mummy and daddy taught you to speak like an adult?..instead of swearing in every sentence? and.....who says knoor stock pots tastes bad?...i use it on all meats and veg, even before i saw marcos vids. it just tastes better then salt thats it, nothing more. Marco used them in all his restaurants, your telling me, he made bad food?...piss of will yea?
First off, how am I supposed to take literary critique from someone who isn't capable of spelling the word "off" or using proper punctuation and capitalization. Secondly I didn't say that they "taste bad", its that the ingredients are trash. And he doesn't "use them in all of his restaurants" you moron, if you've actually watched the balance of his videos, he explicitly on more than one occasion says they're not as good as restaurant quality stock, but good enough for home use.
@sebyjoseph01 I've worked in a few kitchens, and powdered stock stuff is better simply because it takes up less room. A small packet, add to boiling water, stir, done. No need for a huge stock pot(because making small amounts everyday, as you said, takes 6-8 hours for a brown beef stock. Vegetable/fish stock is considerably faster, 30minutes). Plus kitchens are hot enough as it is, no need for 20+ liters of water to be simmering away...
@fulldrulle95 Its not spaming mate, its spreading the word. When you acquire three Michelin stars, then come and talk shit. Jealous much?
If you people are such great cooks with perfect techniques, where are your YouTube videos letting us know how great you are?!
Until then, shut the fuck up, and keep working at your craft.
If you did a little research, you'd know these videos are intended for the HOME cook, not for the professional chef.
Talk about not being the sharpest knife in the drawer...
