As for weapon durability, there is none. You can effectively use a weapon forever. The only thing that runs out is ammo for your gun.

This is the best game of all time period. I was emotionally attached to the story, and I felt like I was James Sunderland. My girlfriend at the time left me around the time I found out about maria, and whenever I found out about Mary, I felt Guilty like I had actually killed someone, after I beat that game I didn't go out of my room for 3 days.

This game is really fun. But its not my favorite, silent hill 3 is. During this review i kinda wanted to tell the guy talking to keep his pants on lol XD Its really a great game, and kinda scary too! It didnt scare me very much at all... only the parts with pyramid head reallly had me going. But i guess cuz i have played every single other silent hill game ever made before i played this one, so i was kinda used to Silent Hill and i knew almost how the town worked by then, so yea. Great game :D

SH2 is the best game to over analise of all time, it's intricacies are just so much fun.

And I agree on the take a break part, sometimes I had to pause the game just to take a breath.

This is simply one of the best games of all time, I prefer this style of horror over the likes of Resident Evil and Dead Space anyday.

awsome review..godlike game! i totaly agree with nearly everything that was said in the review! ...and i also searched a lot for books and movies that are at least a bit simulare to the game^^ (i think the movie "jacob´s ladder" was the closest one..you should watch it if you don't already know it)

I actually have a hard time looking at naan bread because the pattern on it reminds me of pyramid head. (I know)

i want a silent hill game but they all apart from silent hill 5 have pretty bad graphics and they all apart from silent hill 5 again havent got good combat but people say sH 5 doesnt have a disturbing atmosphere what do i do?

..What? The graphics in SH 1 I would understand...but SH 2 and 3 have great graphics! Sure they're not as amazing as games that are out now, but GRAPHICS do not make the game. That should be the last thing you look for in a game. Yes, the combat isn't great, but I tell you, combat isn't the point in SH. It's the atmosphere, and psychological depth that make them so good. I can easily say SH 3's environment design is much better than SH5 anyway. Start with SH2. It's the best in the series imo.

And btw, SH2 is a standalone game, so you can play it/understand it without having prior knowledge of the games. SH 3 is a sequel to SH 1, so if you want to really understand 3's plot, SH 1 would be highly reccomended(SH1 is still a great game in its own right. Its hard to find nowadays, but it is definitely worthy of its title.

@LockeVincent Is there ever a way to find out how t unlock cutscenes that are shown in the intro? i played and beat this game but never saw them. 1) Eddie and Laura besides the van 2) Maria lying on her side inside Heavens Night strip club 3) Angela running through a house as it shows her through the windows from the outside.

@Steveman27 No idea how to unlock those cutscenes. All I know is that you can get the multiple endings but it takes a very specific playthrough. I'll try and find out what I can and report back but off the top of my head I have no idea how to get those cut scenes, I always assumed they were in game but I just didn't find them.
