H3 was not intended to have Myers in it. Myers was supposed to be dead in H2. The Halloween franchise was supposed to be an anthology, something I think would have made Myers even more epic. The sooner people realize that the sooner they can appreciate this fun horror flick.
this movie is Much better than most people say . I Know they shouldn't call it Halloween 3 since Michael Myers is not in the film but if you watch it as a film by itself is a pretty excellent Halloween flick with lot's of frights and gore this is totally a very good film by itself .

Very well done trailer. The movie itself is very well done. I think John Carpenter did some of the production stuff along with Debra Hill who did the first two Halloween's. So there are good scares in this. Cheesy sometimes, but I still felt it was a good movie in its own right.

i thought this was a good little horror movie. It had a very good claustophobic atmosphere due to the fact there are few characters and although the villain is a threat to most of the world there is not much of an outside world as it is set in a small town which is very effective. It had good minimalistic lighting, it was just generally quite unsettling similar to the Wickerman. So i thought they made a good job of this and cant understand how it got bad reviews.
I must say i'm a huge Halloween fan & when i first watched this in 94 i was pissed it had nothing to do with Michael Myers i watched 30mins & said fuck this shit & didn't watch it again until about 3months ago i've always had this movie on dvd as it comes with the Halloween box set & i watched it & loved it i can understand why people get pissed about it not being the MM story but if you can just forget about MM and watch it as a movie you'll learn like i did that it's a great movie

Its original intent was to be an anthology series that takes place around halloween every year a different story sort of thing. But after the poor reception of halloween 3 where everyone expected Michael again, they decided to go back to the Michael centered movies. Hope that helps.

Halloween 3 season of the witch is one of my favourites in the series.I thought the film was unique and very creepy,but i must be honest it did take a few years for me to like this film,its a movie that grows on you.

Halloween III stands alone in the series, and had it been called something else, most likely, would've gotten better reviews.

I think the name was the biggest issue. Making it part of the Halloween series, without MM, made it stand out. It should have been called something else, and then marketed , "from the people who brought you Halloween". I think then the film would've done much better.
Oh yeah, Rehme right? he was inn all the scene s with Lee Wan Cleef. Thx it's hard to keep track of all of Carpenters guest roles, he re-uses actors alot.

i am still creeped out by this movie,as much as when i was a child..the characters are scary.and there is a certain darkness and quietness to the movie that makes it creepy...movies just dont come like that anymore...

Love this movie including the music. Dan O'Herlihy was great as the sinister villan and the spooky atmosphere was perfect. I'm 42 and have watched this on Halloween ever since it's theatrical release in '82. Thanks for posting.

Halloween 3 season of the witch is one of my favourites in the series.I thought the film was unique and very creepy,but i must be honest it did take a few years for me to like this film,its a movie that grows on you.

One of the most underrated and underappreciated horror films out there.
Halloween III stands alone in the series, and had it been called something else, most likely, would've gotten better reviews.
This film is eerie, atmospheric, and has a fantastic soundtrack. EVERYTHING about this film is essential in a great horror film, and this film is GREAT!!

@GialloHorror I couldn't agree with you more! This movie scared the hell out of me when I saw it in the theater! This was a true horror movie! I remember people booing and throwing stuff at the screen.
I think the name was the biggest issue. Making it part of the Halloween series, without MM, made it stand out. It should have been called something else, and then marketed , "from the people who brought you Halloween". I think then the film would've done much better.

Yes. Tom Atkins is in John Carpenter's "The Fog" and "Escape From New York"
He also has a small part in "Creepshow" and he's awesome as Detective Ray Cameron in "Night of the Creeps"

One of the more memorable aspects of the film's soundtrack was the jingle from the Silver Shamrock Halloween mask commercial.
