  • Incredible work, Joe. Well done!

  • Great video!

  • awesome video

  • This is probably some of the best pacing footage I've ever seen, especially since your camera position eliminated any wind noise.

  • @Locomotive450 Thanks! I didn't even consider that having the camera farther from the window would reduce wind noise.

  • Great job, Joe. Rock steady. I've set up my tripod facing right for storm chasing. May have to give this a try.

  • @basicbill1 I've shot out the right window with the tripod on the passenger seat (see "Chasing a UP Passenger Special at 70mph), but this doesn't work trying to shoot out the driver's side. Luckily, since I have no center console, I got the tripod in a position that it was fairly steady right in the middle.

  • Great pacing video! Those warbonnets are looking great given their age, looks like this just as easily could have been taken in the year 2000.

  • @theup3985 Well as long as they get the right paint, it should last a long time! It's some of those original Superfleet GEs that faded so badly because GE messed up on the paint.

  • That is cool! I enjoyed it. Thanks for the post. Great idea about the tripod between the seats, lots safer. I enjoy railfanning the BNSF line more than the UP line since I enjoy the color schemes more on that line. Great job.
